Devkanya is a teacher who likes being with her students and advises everyone to have a goal in life.

Devkanya Paliwal is a teacher at Alok Senior Secondary School. She teaches classes from the 1st to the 5th. Her association with Alok Sansthan is twelve years old.

Devkanya was born in Rajasthan but raised in Indore. She did her schooling at Agarwal Public School, Indore.

Devkanya says that she came into this profession by luck. She says that she did not have a child even after five years of her marriage which distressed her a lot. At that point, someone suggested she join Alok school as spending time with children would be a welcome change for her. This is how her journey as a teacher started.

Regarding her childhood, Devkanya says that she used to enjoy small and simple things like seeing an elephant in the street or children’s fairs at her school. She adds that nowadays children have distanced themselves from such happy moments.

Sharing about her tough times, Devkanya says that it was a really tough time for her when her beloved brother passed away. She says that her brother was her best friend and mentor and his passing away was a time of utmost distress in her life.

When asked about the COVID pandemic and her experience with the same, Devkanya says that not everyone had good experiences at that time. She did not have to face any financial problems but seeing people losing their family members made her sad. Devkanya says that, during the pandemic, she learned online teaching mode and says that it was a good learning experience for her.

Talking about her role models, Devkanya says that her brother was the one for her whose advice she always followed. In her professional life, Dr. Pradeep Kumawat, Director of Alok Sansthan, is her inspiration.

Advising the youth, Devkanya says that they should be focused on their goals in life and follow the principles of discipline and cooperation.

In her free time, Devkanya likes listening to music and organizing picnics and parties with her friends and family.
