Coming from a humble background, Devendra witnessed many hardships but focused diligently on his studies to get into the teaching field. He is a zealous learner and a stern believer in developing skills in life.

Devendra Suthar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Aravali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur. He has been working here for the past twelve years and had also worked for two years at Vidya Bhawan.

Devendra says that he hails from Kanpur village, Madri in Udaipur. His initial schooling took place in his village itself, and after that, he got enrolled in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rajsamanad, and completed classes fifth through eighth there. After that, he joined Alok School in Udaipur. Devendra did a diploma from Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College and then engineering from Arya College, Jaipur. He has also done an M.Tech. from RTU, Kota.

When asked about his role models, Devendra says that his parents are his first role models, as he hails from a very simple family and has seen the struggles of his parents. Devendra says that Narayan sir, the principal of Alok School in Fatehpura, Udaipur, also inspired him a lot and taught him the importance of time management. He also feels that keeping a positive mindset always helps us find the right solution.

Talking about his struggles, Devendra says that he had to deal with financial problems during his college and school days. There were also times when he used to pedal a bicycle for twelve kilometers to reach school, and when he could manage only a single meal a day during his engineering days.

Devendra feels that we should not force students to get into a particular field and instead suggest that they get into a field of their interest. He also feels that education never gets wasted and that every person should develop a skill to complement their education and to be helpful in their life.

When asked about the importance of education and experience, Devendra says that experience helps us learn from our mistakes so that we do not repeat them the next time, while education helps us develop a good thought process.

Advising students, Devendra says that they should develop a skill or two while studying and always have the zeal to learn something new. He adds that whether you are in the government sector or the private sector, skills never go to waste in life.
