I can, I will and I must.
Devashree Sanghvi is the Founder of The Crazy Indian Foodie- a Travel, Lifestyle, and Food blog which she started out of passion six years ago.
Devashree hails from Mumbai. She did her BLS and LLB from Government Law College, Mumbai. She did her Masters in Business Law from Mumbai University.
Devashree shares that since her childhood she had always liked traveling to new places and cooking and eating new dishes. She would learn to cook new dishes from her grandmother. She started a website by the same name as her blog when she was fifteen and she would upload there the recipes of dishes she would cook at home. Later when people started asking her about eateries, cuisine, and good places to eat at, in the city, she started blogging regularly.
Devashree shares that initially, it was very hard for her to juggle her studies, internships, and food blogging. After completing her LLB, she decided to take a break from law practice and do blogging full-time. And it’s been two years since she started blogging full-time and she has gotten a good engagement from viewers on her blog. Besides, she says that to be a Woman Entrepreneur and to be able to create content that stands out entails its own set of challenges. But she says that challenges in life help you grow and become better at what you do.
Talking about her achievements, Devashree says that she was invited to a travel bloggers’ conference that was held in Sri Lanka. There she won the Sri Lanka Alliance Award for covering the Travel and Food sectors of the country. Besides, being able to travel to different countries and to derive satisfaction from her work are also an achievement for her.
Talking about Covid, she says that the pandemic affected all sectors, especially the travel and tourism sector. During the pandemic, she tried her hand at new recipes and also created new content for her blog. She is optimistic that soon the restaurant industry will be functioning at pre-Covid levels. Besides, she advises people to take all the precautions and follow Covid protocols as we are still not over the pandemic.
Her Success Mantra is to never lose patience and to never stop being curious in life. She says that there’s always something new to learn about what you do, so one should keep learning about new things.
Devashree considers her grandmother, who during her time beating all the odds went to London to study, as her biggest inspiration.
Devashree thinks that both Education and Experience are important in life. She says education teaches you values and you learn with your experience.
Devashreee is a trained Classical Singer and in her spare time, she loves to sing. Besides, she also loves reading books and spending time with her family and friends.
If she could go back in time and undo something then Devashree would want to avert the Covid pandemic to save people from the havoc it wreaked in their lives.
To aspiring bloggers, Devashrees advises them to do it only if they are passionate about it and making money is not their objective at all. Besides, she advises them to remain patient as it takes time to get engagement from viewers on your blog.
To people, Devashree advises that don’t ever be scared to follow your dreams. And keep trying until you succeed in life.
