A renowned author of more than 80 books, Devanssh Mehta has made his mark as a medical writer. His work has been recognized and felicitated by leading organizations of the world.

Devanssh Mehta is an author specializing in Pharma related topics and subjects.

Devanssh comes from a Defense background. His father late Colonel Vinay Kumar Mehta of 11, Rajputana Rifles was a military expert in the army and died, non-battle, while serving the country  when he was posted with the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka fighting against the LTTE. His brother is also in the army.

Devanssh had his schooling from Meerut and various other places as his father always used to get transferred frequently. He always had a passion for reading and writing. His mother inculcated and nurtured this passion in him. His mother’s priority was that her children should be well-read and educated.

Devanssh shares that when he was doing his graduation and post-graduation, he came to know about research papers and articles. He felt he also could do some productive work utilizing his analytical skills. He started writing research papers when he was in M.Pharma. he wrote 12 research papers then. He worked with many companies but his passion for writing continued.

When he was working with an MNC in Faridabad doing email marketing, he came to know that there were many freelance writers who wrote about pharma related topics and earned money through their articles. He liked the idea and launched his startup- PRM Writers LLP- in 2016 promoting medical writing. To overcome his financial troubles he also authored over 80 books and was selected among the top 50 Pharma Authors by an international organization called book.authority.com. He was also recognized by Forbes and CNN-IBN. One of his books is considered as one of the Top 50 Pharma Books of all time.

Talking about challenges, Devanssh says he initially had financial challenges but trained himself about how to deal with them. Another challenge for him was perception marketing of himself. Amidst fierce competition, he wanted to create a certain perception of himself and had to strive for it. He says that it has been said that only a marketing genius can win in the perception war.

When asked about his role models, Devanssh says that he gets inspired by the books he reads. He considers APJ Abdul Kalam and Albert Einstein as his role models. He says his mother too always gave him strength to do good in life.

Devanssh thinks it is imperative to know yourself first before choosing your career. His message to the youth is that first define yourself and then define your goals.

Devanssh informs that he is a Lifetime member of the ‘Pharma Teachers of India’ and is on the editorial teams of more than 100 leading pharma journals.

On his idea of leadership, Devanssh feels that he was not a born leader. The environment around him has made him a leader.

Devanssh says the mantra behind his success as an author has been the use of simple language in his books. He believes communication should always be simple.

Discussing COVID, he says he feels that the pandemic has shown that stumbles are bound to happen, we have to rise again. He thinks the pandemic was a stumble given by God, so that we may rise again with positivity.

Remembering his childhood he says that though he was born in Meerut, he had his schooling from various places like Danapur Cantt in Bihar, Patiala, Faizabad, Pune, Jabalpur, Dimapur, Dispur, Jaipur, Mt. Abu, Delhi and Mumbai. He relishes the time he spent at Jaipur the most and says he loves Rajasthan a lot.

If he would get a chance to travel back in time, he would start his journey as a Pharma Business Consultant and as a Business Director in Pharma.

For fun in his leisure time he goes shopping which he likes the most. He also does gardening and cooking. He also has a YouTube channel which he promotes in his free time.

Devanssh claims that he cured his mother of Colloidal Goiter, which the allopathic doctors had said had no cure except surgical removal of the thyroid gland, with a medicine he himself prepared with natural herbs and substances. He says he wants to convey with this that if you have conviction about anything which you have learnt in your life then don’t hesitate in applying it. Just have patience in life.
