A versatile dancer known as Dev among his peers, Devanand Das takes pride in teaching various art forms to dance enthusiasts. He has obtained his Visharad in Bharatanatyam and runs dance classes under the name ‘Dancerpreneur Dance Studio’. Performing at the Rajasthan Film Festival has been his biggest achievement.

Devanand Das, fondly known as Dev, is a versatile dancer skilled in Hip-Hop, Belly Dancing, and other Western dance forms, with a Visharad in Bharatanatyam. Dev runs his dance classes under the name of 'Dancerpreneur Dance Studio' and has gained fame among his friends and students.

Over his decade-long career, Dev has mastered multiple dance forms, worked in films, performed at the Rajasthan Film Festival, and collaborated with over 100 schools, delivering exceptional dance training.

Originally from West Bengal, Dev has made Jaipur his home for many years, completing his education there. His journey into dance began in 2009, and soon after, he started his own dance classes.

Reflecting on his career, Dev notes that he hasn't had many opportunities to perform, as he dedicated most of his time to teaching. He also highlights the significant impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on the entertainment industry.

One of Dev's initial challenges was convincing parents to support their children's pursuit of dance, as many parents and society at large often prefer conventional career paths. Additionally, he faced criticism for the dance forms he taught. Despite these hurdles, Dev believes in facing life's ups and downs with resilience.

Inspired by icons like Prabhu Deva during his childhood, and later by Hrithik Roshan, Michael Jackson, and Shakira, Dev draws motivation from various artists in the dance world.

He emphasises that while education provides basic manners, experience is crucial in mastering dance, which he has gained through years of teaching.

If given a chance to turn back time, Dev would revisit 2009 when he missed an opportunity to train at a prestigious institute in Mumbai.

Dev observes that today's youth often seek quick success but advises them to focus on training and mastering their art. He also feels the government should promote awareness about various art forms, including dance, and provide clear pathways for aspiring artists to build careers.

In his leisure time, Dev enjoys listening to music and spending time with friends and family. He firmly believes that learning is a lifelong process that should never cease.
