Dev Karan is a young boy working hard to excel in the field of sports. He is a dedicated Basketballer trying to make his mark in the sport.

Dev Karan Singh Rathore was born in Badi Sadri and raised in Udaipur. He has done his schooling from the St. Paul’s School in Udaipur.

Dev Karan has always been interested in Basketball. He joined the Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon for Basketball practice from his school days itself. Initially, his parents allowed him to attend only one session daily for practice which he attended diligently. He had a setback when his father died when he was in 6th class only but he has somehow continued with Basketball.

Dev Karan has played in tournaments in Ajmer and Jaipur. He is also a National Player in Netball.

When asked about role models, he says he considers his father, who was very hard working, as his role model.

He regrets that during the Covid lockdowns, he could not play his favorite sport but is happy that things are now normalising.

Dev says in the field of Basketball you must be regular in coaching sessions and work hard to increase your stamina and endurance.

If he gets a chance to go back in time he would like to get better treatment for his father because he regrets that they could not get him admitted to a good private hospital otherwise they might have saved him.

Dev Karan is inspired by various quotes of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He thinks playing Basketball has helped develop leadership qualities in him.

Dev’s message to aspiring sportspersons is to keep on toiling and not to give up early.
