Deshna Patni is an educator. She is the founder of MindWingz, an online education company that promotes learning through innovative ideas. Deshna intends to bridge the gap between our education system and practical learning through her venture. She says her courses teach students how to think about what to think. She has been running her company online for the last four years.

Deshna says the idea of starting such a company came to her mind when she herself went through some experiences. In the beginning, she lived in Indore and studied at an international school that offered the Cambridge course. The international course encouraged practical learning and helped them to think openly. But, when her family moved to Ahmedabad, she had to join a CBSE school where they could only learn what was taught and there was no practical learning.

Aagin, after she completed her M.Sc. in maths and joined TCS, found it difficult to connect the concepts she had learned to the real world. When she started teaching students, she felt the need to teach them logical reasoning, practical learning, and building an aptitude. Thus, she came up with the idea of starting MindWingz.

At MindWingz, Deshna does not take up the basic topics. She teaches fresh and new things, like scriptology, which promotes and encourages logical thinking. She offers many such new and innovative courses. She says students must enjoy learning.

Deshna considers her mother to be her main inspiration in life. She says her mother knew that she had innovative ideas in her mind, and it was her mother who pushed Deshna to start her venture and try out her ideas. Deshna’s father and husband have also been extremely supportive.

Deshna took the COVID time as an opportunity and shifted her focus to online teaching. She is happy to share that the response to her courses has been amazing.
