A dexterous Musician based in Jaipur, Deepak Rajput aims to contribute his bit to the field of Music by blending Flamenco and Classical music.

Deepak hails from Jaipur. He is a Musician and Event Manager. He runs his music academy by the name “Strumming Tunes Music Academy” in Jaipur itself.

Deepak says that from childhood itself he was interested in Music and learning to play the guitar. He shares that on one occasion whilst riding his bicycle, he stumbled upon a musical instruments shop. And for the first time, he got hold of a guitar there and the moment he struck a string on the guitar, he fell in love with it.

Talking about Covid, Deepak says that the pandemic affected all the sectors – especially the Music and Entertainment industry. During the pandemic, he taught and played guitar online. And thus he could sustain and survive the pandemic. Besides, he says that the pandemic taught us how to deal with an unprecedented situation in future.

To aspiring musicians, Deepak says that Music is a vast field and it requires time and patience to be able to do something worthwhile in this field. Therefore, he advises them to initially take to music as a side hustle and not to solely depend on it. Besides, he advises them to leverage social media to build their audience and showcase their talents as he thinks that in today’s time YouTube and other social media provide a musician a platform that TV can’t.

Deepak says that in future he aspires to contribute something to Music by combining Flamenco and Classical Music. And for that, he is planning to go to Spain to study a relevant course.

Deepak laments that today’s songs are not as good as evergreen songs of the 90s and earlier. Because now, owing to Auto-Tune and other advanced software anyone can be a singer and get instant fame as opposed to earlier when it would require years of practice to become a singer.

Deepak considers his music guru his idol and inspiration. He says his guru always taught him to learn from everyone irrespective of their age. Besides, he also idolizes Kishor Kumar and Rafi Saheb.

Deepak thinks that whatever you do in life, Education is a must. Though he says that you grow in life with your Experience. He advises aspiring musicians also to complete their formal education along with pursuing Music.

Talking about his achievements, Deepak shares that he got selected among the top one hundred contestants in Indian Idol 2016 which is his biggest achievement to date. Besides, he was also a Gold Medalist in his bachelors.

Deepak advises parents to make their children learn to play a musical instrument. He says playing a musical instrument will help them improve their focus which in turn will also help them in their studies.

In his spare time, Deepak tries to keep himself updated with the latest happenings in the Music industry via the internet. Besides, he also tries to hone his musical skills in his free time.
