Deepak Maheshwari is striving to make a name for himself with his currency exchange business.

Deepak Maheswari is the owner of Money to Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd. - a platform to trade one currency for another.

Deepak hails from Udaipur. He shares that his business is about foreign exchange which facilitates the exchange of one currency for another.

Deepak has been in the field of Foreign Exchange since 2006. From 2006 till 2012, he worked with many big forex companies. Then he applied for a licence to trade currencies from the RBI. In 2012, along with his two brothers who were also experienced in forex, he started Money to Money Exchange Pvt. Ltd. in Udaipur. And since then he has been providing his services for currency exchange.

Talking about challenges in starting his company, Deepak shares that initially when they started they had to face a lot of competition from other big companies which were working in the same field. He says that most of the big forex companies in Udaipur were headquartered in big cities whereas his company was headquartered in Udaipur and owing to that it was hard for him to win the trust of corporations. But he says that the companies and firms which once denied him business are now his clients.

Deepak says that his experience in forex has been really good ever since he started his company. In the next five years, he aims to establish branches of his company in all the major cities of Rajasthan.

Deepak says that he did an MBA in Marketing and his education has helped him to work in the service sector and build his network of people.

Deepak thinks that he is a leader by work and not birth. He says that he makes proper strategies with regard to his business before making trades.

To anybody who wants to start their business in forex, Deepak advises that first and foremost you must be committed to your customers and always stick to your words. Besides, you must obtain a licence from the RBI for currency trading.

Deepak’s parents always encouraged and supported him to start his business. And he considers them as his role models. Besides, he also considers his elder brother as his role model, who always guided him about it all, be it his job or the business.

Deepak says that the Covid pandemic impacted his business badly as his business is mainly dependent on the footfall of tourists in the city but owing to the pandemic people couldn’t travel.

During his free time, Deepak likes to listen to music and read books.
