Inspired by his elder brother, Deep joined the tourism industry, where he has been serving for the last thirty years.

Deep Singh Shekhawat is the President of the Guide Association at the City Palace, Jaipur. He has been in the profession for the last thirty years.

Recalling his childhood, Deep says that he was keen on pursuing the tourism field as a kid. His brother used to work in the tourism sector, and he often felt influenced and inspired by him. Deep completed his schooling in a village and moved to Jaipur upon turning 23. He pursued his graduation privately and later got into the tourism sector after obtaining the relevant licences.

When asked about his role models, Deep says he draws inspiration from his parents, who taught him to win through the struggles in his life.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Deep says that though both have relevance, he values experience more than education.

In his message to the youth, Deep says that they should not waste their time on gadgets but strive to get through the competitive environment by attaining higher education.

When free, Deep spends time on social activities.
