Shiv Mohan is a spiritual enthusiast who has worked in different fields. He feels that the ultimate goal of one’s life should be attaining happiness and not just money.

Shiv Mohan Mathur is a retired Navy Commander working in the private sector for the past sixteen years. He has worked in different fields like Telecommunications and Information Technology. Presently, he is working as a Project Head in a factory producing piezoelectric transducers. His role is to transform the working of the factory, working on automation and other processes.

Shiv was born in Varanasi where his mother’s family is based. He has done his schooling from Kota and has lived a large part of his life there itself as his father had a job in Kota.

Shiv advises the young generation not to run after materialistic goals but look for spiritual success and enlightenment. According to him, the goals in life should be Happiness and Education. Shiv feels that running after worldly goals does not get us ultimate success. We should fulfill our responsibility towards our society and the world.

Shiv says that we should explore our interests and intent and then choose our professional course in life. We should not force ourselves into something we do not like. Every child is different and is meant to do something different in this lifetime. We should not have expectations but good intentions. Shiv says that the ultimate truth of life is attaining happiness and that success should not be measured in materialistic terms.

Shiv feels that modern society lacks discipline and a sense of responsibility. Parents nowadays provide everything on a platter to their kids and hence are spoiling them. He advocates that discipline and a controlled lifestyle should be given by parents to their children.

Shiv says that mistakes are inevitable in life and are a learning junction for us. They should be celebrated like a victory is as mistakes teach us many things. They help in improving as a person and give us the courage to move on.

Shiv says that a person should focus on getting three types of ‘Gyan’ in life: Brahma, Tatva, and Aatma. He says that our destiny is a mix of our past and present ‘Karmas’ and our focus should be on achieving the truest expression of ourselves.

Shiv’s next goal in life is to attain spiritual knowledge and he is following many saints and working in that direction through meditation and listening to spiritual songs. He has also started a YouTube channel that talks about Spirituality and Mindfulness.

In his free time, he likes to tend to his garden and feed birds with homemade ‘Khichdi’.
