Chirag chose the hospitality sector because he likes challenges. He believes that if you have an interest, you can make your passion your profession.

Chirag Purohit is a Food and Beverages Trainer at the Ambuja Cement Foundation in Udaipur.

Chirag was born and brought up in Udaipur. He completed his schooling in Udaipur itself. He did a Hotel Management course from the IHM, Udaipur.

Recalling his childhood, Chirag says that he used to cook food at home. So he decided to become a chef and afterwards found that the food and beverage sector was more beneficial.

Chirag shares that, as a trainer, he brought the students from rural backgrounds. They found the students through mobilisation and awareness campaigns to develop their careers. Initially, they provide training for food and beverage service, housekeeping, and the front office department, and then the examination should be conducted. On the basis of the exam, placement should be given to them.

Sharing about his achievements, Chirag says that he got a chance to work in Oman and Dubai for five years and become a food and beverage trainer. He also completed a coffee making course in Dubai. He received the title of ‘Employee of the Month’ at Hotel Leela, which is an accomplishment for him.

While comparing education and experience, Chirag says that both play an important role in life. In the field of hotel management, education is required to work with brands, and experience is helpful in one’s growth.

If given a time machine to go back in time, Chirag would like  to reduce the tenure of his work and also would also like to get success in half the time.

Chirag advises the young generation to focus on the private job opportunities too, as the competition is very high in the government sector. It is important to improve your skills to get jobs in other sectors. Dedication, punctuality, and hard work are required to achieve success in any field, says Chirag.

Chirag’s role model is his senior, who always guides and motivates him. He believes that pain is temporary, but success is permanent. So, it is important to work hard to achieve the desired goals in life.

Advising aspirants to  his field, Chirag says that it is important to pursue a hotel management course from a good college. Then decide your interest area in this sector with the help of your teachers. In the F & B sector, one can grow easily and gain knowledge about food, beverages, types of setups, types of services, and many more. He says that you always have a lot to learn in this field.
