The youngest ever President of the MB Science College Students Union, Chirag, is working tirelessly to solve students’ problems at the college and do his best for their welfare.

Chirag Choudhary is the President of the Students Union of MB Science College, MLSU, Udaipur.

Chirag hails from Udaipur. He completed his schooling at Happy Home Senior Secondary School.

Chirag shares that after completing his schooling, he took admission to MB Science College. He says that during his initial college days, he saw that many senior students would be there at the college campus to help new students with their admissions formalities. But he, on the other hand, would not be involved much in student activities and student union elections and keep himself aloof from all this. But he realized that once the elections were over, nobody was there to address the grievances of the students. He thought of fighting for the next student union elections. He fought in them and won the elections by a huge margin of votes. And subsequently, he became the president of the college student union.

As the union president, he always put solving the problems of the students as his top priority. He says that the college did not have a sufficient number of seats to admit students. Despite scoring good marks, many students would not be able to get admission to the college. He brought the issue up with the college authorities, and when the deliberations could not result in something feasible, he and other students sat on a hunger strike for three days. And finally, the administration of the college accepted their demands, and the college doubled its capacity to admit students.

Chirag was even hospitalized because of the strike and had to be bedridden. But his parents always supported him in his endeavors to do something good for the students.

Chirag laments the fact that had his demands been met in time by the college administration, he would have done much more for the welfare of the students.

Chirag advises the students who want to fight for student union elections that fighting for the elections will entail a lot of challenges and difficulties, but if you win the elections, you will set an example as a role model for others, and it will be an achievement for a lifetime.

To conclude, he credits his win in the elections to all the students and all his supporters and well-wishers who extended their direct and indirect support to him.
