A self-made entrepreneur, Chetan single-handedly worked his way up, overcoming all the difficulties along the way. He believes that no matter how severe the circumstances get, honesty and hard work eventually result in success.

Chetan Jain has been the director of Chirag India Automotive Pvt. Ltd. for the last 10 years. He is also the owner of Maroo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd.

Chetan was born in the village of Navania. Later, he pursued his BSc at Udaipur. He is the director of Chirag India Automotive Pvt. Ltd., along with two other partners. He also owns Maroo Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., an authorized service center of Ashok Leyland dealing in heavy-duty vehicles. Chirag India Automotive Pvt. Ltd. deals in various automotive parts of all ranges for all categories of vehicles.

Talking about his journey, Chetan says that after graduation, he worked at a small firm dealing in cars and maintenance. However, he always had a dream of establishing his own company. He, along with his two partners, decided to take over Chirag India Automotive Pvt. Ltd., an automotive company, in 2010. Now his company is one of the leading manufacturers and dealers of OEM parts for heavy-duty vehicles and provides repair services in Udaipur.

When asked about the COVID-19 pandemic, Chetan says that their company, being a tractor dealer, was exempted and given permission for the production of tractors in April 2020. He used to attend the office every day for 4 to 5 hours. From a personal perspective, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his wife. He enjoyed cooking and eating new recipes, playing different games, etc.

Chetan says that his business partner is his role model and is also responsible for turning his life around. He believed in Chetan and gave him a partnership opportunity. It was due to their motivation and assistance that Chetan could achieve his dream of being a successful entrepreneur. Chetan’s wife is also his role model. She always supported his decisions and comforted him during tough times.

Chetan believes that education is important in this industry. Experience, on the other hand, is significantly more useful since it teaches people how to deal with unexpected scenarios, which is especially crucial in the business world, where ups and downs happen all too often. Chetan also emphasizes the need to stay updated in this ever-changing industry where technology and automation bring about significant changes.

In his free time, Chetan enjoys cooking food with his wife or going on long walks with her. He also likes spending time with his family.

Cherishing his childhood memories, Chetan recollects how stress-free his life was as a child. He says that nowadays kids are stressed out about studies and exams, but in their time, there was no pressure for studies, and he thoroughly enjoyed his childhood.

Advising budding entrepreneurs, Chetan says that one must stay updated in the field of business one is working in. Citing his example, he says that one must have knowledge of the new emission norms, such as Euro 5 and Euro 6, to remain in business and abide by government directives. He also says that selling electric cars will be their plan, as the market is already shifting towards EVs. Moreover, one must always try to stay ahead of their competitors in the market.

Chetan says that if one works honestly and supplies good-quality material, they will automatically give a tough competition in the market.

Lastly, Chetan shares a few words of advice: be it in any personal or professional matter, one should always try to stay in peace and harmony with everyone and believe in growing together.
