Charulata Abhijeet Patankar hails from Jalgaon Khandesh but relocated to Pune after her marriage. She has been a singer for the past ten years.
Recalling her childhood, Charulata shares that she grew up in Jalgaon with her parents and five siblings. Her late mother played a significant role in supporting her pursuit of a singing career. Currently, her husband is her strongest supporter.
Reflecting on her journey, Charulata confesses that she had never thought of becoming a singer, her focus was on finding a job. She completed her Electrical Engineering and moved to Mumbai, where her sister resided, in search of employment opportunities. While in Mumbai, there used to be various programs that frequently hosted singing teams. It was during one such program where her sister introduced her to the singing team, and Charulata performed. That moment made her realize her talent for singing.
Later, she relocated to Indore to live with her aunt, and in 2013, she had her first stage performance, marking the beginning of her singing career.
Charulata says that she and her husband now perform singing shows across India and even abroad.
When asked about her role models, Charulata mentions Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, and all the singers who excel in their art. She has learned various aspects of singing from them.
Regarding her hobbies, Charulata expresses her passion for learning new things such as nail art, resin art, or any skill that can contribute to her income.
For aspiring individuals who wish to enter the field of singing, Charulata advises them to identify their genre of singing and attend workshops. She particularly suggests young aspiring singers to join classical singing classes.
