Charu Bhateja is the founder of the Talent Club in Delhi.
Charu was born and brought up in Delhi. She shares that since childhood she had been interested in Kathak dance and wanted to become a dancer but didn’t succeed in it. So she sent her daughter to learn Kathak under the guidance of Jai Kishan Maharaj. Afterwards, she decided to start a talent club to provide teaching of various courses like dance, music, drawing and painting, Vedic maths, and many more.
Talking about her journey, Charu says that she has liked dancing and music since childhood, so she wanted to train her daughter in Kathak dance. Slowly and gradually, people started coming to take dance training from her daughter. Then she realised she should open an institute. She faced many ups and downs in her journey as, due to some circumstances, she had to close the academy for some time and then again reopen it. This happened three to four times in her journey, but it made her stronger to start again with new energy. Her husband, kids, and teachers supported her a lot.
Sharing her achievements, Charu says that her students' success is her biggest accomplishment. Many students came to her at the age of four and graduated in dance and music from her academy, which is a real achievement for her.
In her spare time, Charu likes to enjoy time with the kids and also likes dance and music.
Charu’s role model is Pt. Birju Maharaj, and she follows him a lot. She also admires her daughter’s gurus, like Jai Kishan Maharaj and Gauri Diwakar
Charu’s life mantra is to do hard work and be honest.
Advising the youth, Charu says that to make a career in the field of dance and music, it is important to do hard work. She says that nothing is possible without hard work, dedication, and interest.
