An assistant professor, Chandra Prakash possesses a profound passion for teaching, backed by over 12 years of invaluable teaching experience.

Chandra Prakash Jain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur. He has been teaching at the institute for the past 12 years.

Recalling his childhood, Chandra Prakash says he hails from Shahpura and has fond memories of his group of childhood friends. He had a keen interest in studies and did his schooling at Government Senior Secondary School, Shahpura. Thereafter, he pursued his degree in engineering from Jaipur Engineering College. Chandra did his MTech at Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, Mumbai.

Discussing his challenges, Chandra Prakash says that making a choice between two colleges and moving out of the city to pursue his education was a difficult call for him.

Speaking of his achievements, Chandra Prakash says that clearing GATE and finding his way into a good engineering college have been the proudest moments for him.

Sharing his experience during the pandemic, Chandra Prakash highlights both the positive and negative changes he observed in students. He notes that students became more engrossed in social media, resulting in a decreased focus on their studies. Chandra Prakash expresses concern over the increased dependency on YouTube, which hinders their self-learning process.

When asked about his role models, Chandra Prakash says he draws inspiration from his brother, who taught him and helped him out in his studies. He finds inspiration in the quote by Swami Vivekananda, which goes like this: "Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached."

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Chandra Prakash says that while education is important, experience helps you move in the right direction.

When asked about his mistakes, Chandra Prakash admits that one of his regrets was deviating from his initial plan to pursue CA and instead enrolling in BTech, influenced by his friends’ paths.

If Chandra Prakash could travel back in time using a time machine, he would revisit his childhood, which, according to him, had his fondest moments.

Chandra Prakash advises the youth to share their knowledge as much as they can for the betterment of the nation. He encourages them to persist in their efforts until they achieve their goal.

His hobbies include playing sports—basketball and cricket in particular. He is also interested in singing.
