A Filmmaker, Burhan feels that making movies is an art through which people can be bound emotionally in a way that the most prevalent ways of doing the same can’t.

Burhan Habshee is a Udaipur-based Filmmaker and Photographer. He owns a production house by the name Solestray Films in Udaipur.

Talking about his childhood, Burhan says that he was born and raised in Udaipur. Growing up, he was always an introverted kid and would find it difficult to communicate with others. He never thought that he would be into Photography and Film-making which require one to be an extrovert.

Burhan says that initially, he worked as a Graphics Designer for about two years. Working as a graphic designer, he got to learn the nuances of Photography. Realizing his interest in Photography, later, he bought a camera and started doing commercial and self Photography.

Talking about his mistakes, Burhan says that self-doubt always held him back from doing things that he could have done early on. However, he feels content and has never once regretted it ever since he took to Photography.

Burhan advises people to just believe in themselves and do something that they want to do, as the worst that can happen is they will fail.

Burhan’s biggest accomplishment is making a short movie with his family members and getting awards and recognition for it.

Burhan gets inspired by every film that he watches. He says that watching movies enables him to explore places without physically being there.

In his spare time, Burhan explores how he can raise awareness around issues like Mental Health, LGBT Rights, etc. through his movies. Besides, he likes to meditate and work out physically.
