In his quest to become a big businessman, Binod strived a lot in his life to emerge as one. At present, he has earned a good name for himself in the business world by single-handedly operating his four companies successfully.

Binod Kumar is a Multi-Field Entrepreneur. He is the Founder and CEO of four companies, the first of which is an Indore-based software and website development company called ‘SoftGetix - IT Staff Augmentation Services.’ His second company is based in Atlanta, a Fence Construction ERP management company called, ‘FenceForce.us.’ The third company ‘Diabetickart-Indore’ is an E-commerce platform for diabetic patients and lastly, ‘TrueFirms. co’ is a review, rating, and listing platform for software companies.

Binod was born and raised in Chitra village in the Deoghar district of Jharkhand. He received his school education there itself. He shares that his father used to work at a vast coal field in the village. He was so impressed by its owner’s life and his lifestyle, that he wanted to become equally big and significant someday. Keeping this in mind, he did a vocational course in Civil Aviation and BTTM under the central government. But, as he did not want to do a government job, he did MBA from IBS, Indore.

Persisting with the idea of doing his own business, Binod explored low-capital investment work and plunged into the IT field. He started by selling software and websites by visiting almost every shop in Indore. In the push to become a successful businessman, he slowly started getting outside clients from online apps and websites. His hard work paid off when he started getting big projects as a business consultant.

Talking about his hard times, Binod says that he had started a software company with two partners in Indore. Once, when he had gone to his native village for some time to get married, within that time, his business was usurped by both his partners. All his savings were gone and he was left with nothing. It was the most difficult time for him because at that time neither he had the money nor any other way to raise his family. To get himself out of such a difficult time, he started reading and it was only after reading the biographies of some great people that he found a way to bounce back. However, his new streak of success started from there and never stopped. In no time, he founded four companies in different fields and achieved heights in his career.

Recalling his childhood, Binod says that he dreamed of becoming a big and successful man someday. And according to his parents, it could only be possible by having a government job and for him, only a business could fulfill his dream.

Sharing his COVID experience, Binod says his business was not much impacted by the pandemic. But on the personal front, he was worried about his mother as she is diabetic. That’s when his third company ‘Diabetickart- Indore’ was started to bring everything related to diabetes to one platform for people suffering from this disease. Also, it was during this pandemic that his fourth company ‘Truefirms. co’ was launched, where software users and companies get on the platform to review different websites, apps, and software.

Talking about his mistakes, Binod says that his first mistake in business was that he used to do everything himself to achieve perfection, but on the contrary, he ended up bearing losses. About his second mistake, he shares that he became a workaholic and didn’t even sleep well, which reduced his productivity.

When asked about his free time activities, Binod says he likes to meditate twice a day. He is also an avid reader.

Advising all budding entrepreneurs, Binod says that delegation of work is crucial in running a business along with discipline and continuous learning.

For anyone who wants to launch a startup, Binod advises them to not look for opportunities, but look for problems and they will get a purpose for starting their own startup. He adds that as soon as this mindset shifts, you will find a solution to the problem, and the more solutions you find, the more money you will make. He also tells everyone to read biographies of great people and business books, if they want to reach any height in life.
