Bindu fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a Hindi Teacher and has thirty-nine years of teaching experience. She is a strong, positive and determined lady, who has the power to achieve anything she desires for.

Bindu Gupta has been working as a Hindi PGT in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Udaipur for the last twenty-nine years. Prior to this, she had served at a private B.Ed college for ten years.

Bindu belongs to  Naini city in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. She qualified her Hindi PGT exam in the first attempt itself.

Sharing her childhood memories, Bindu says that she had a different childhood from others. She says that she was raised in poverty but had a fun-filled childhood. Since the beginning, she had leadership skills and the spirit of doing something great. She had a great affection for Hindi, and she dreamt of becoming a Hindi teacher growing up.

When asked about her role models, Bindu says she considers her mentors and teachers as her role models for being her strength and hope. She also draws inspiration from her father for teaching her the principles of being belligerent and self-respecting.

Talking about her struggles, Bindu says that because of her kind-hearted nature, she stumbled a lot in her personal as well as her professional life. Besides this, she had seen many ups and downs in her life since her childhood because of financial constraints. The hardest time of her life was when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of fifty-two. But because of her headstrong spirit and positive approach, she won the battle of life against cancer.

Describing her achievements, Bindu says that several poems, stories and plays written by her have been published and broadcasted by All India Radio, Udaipur. On the personal front, battling cancer and saving a few other people from this chronic disease is the biggest achievement of her life.

If anyone wants to go into the teaching profession, then Bindu advises them to have dexterity in their subject. She says they must be able to connect with the students emotionally, rather than professionally.

Bindu believes that the profession of a teacher is more noble and righteous than that of a doctor because the teachers have all the molds in which they put their students to become something in life.

Bindu advises everyone that no matter what the situation is, always keep a smile on your face. Never be afraid of anything in life, never panic and face the challenges boldly.
