After retiring from the State Bank of India, Dr. Bhupendra Sharma dedicated himself to cultural awareness, Vedic education, and social service rooted in Sanatan values. Through Sanatan Pathshala, he continues leading initiatives focused on yoga, meditation and youth awareness.

Dr. Bhupendra Sharma, Chairman of Sanatan Pathshala Organizing Committee, Udaipur, transformed his post-retirement years into a dedicated mission of cultural awareness, value-based education, and public welfare through various social and spiritual initiatives.

After retiring from the State Bank of India, he remained actively associated with organizations rooted in service, values, and social upliftment. He serves as an office bearer associated with Arya Samaj, works as Shlok Path Prasar Pramukh of Sanskrit Bharati in Udaipur Mahanagar, and is also connected as Sangathan Mantri with “Apna Ghar Ashram”, Udaipur. Alongside these responsibilities, he has devoted himself to conducting and teaching Vedic rituals, particularly Havan and all Sixteen Rites of Passage (सोलह संस्कार), while also guiding people on their proper methods and significance in daily life.

Along with this, Vedic meditation trainer Dr. Bhupendra Sharma is a certified Vedic meditation trainer from Vanprastha Sadhak Ashram, Rojad, Gujarat, and also serves as a yoga trainer associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth, Udaipur. Over the last three years, he has been actively leading Sanatan Pathshala, Udaipur, as its founder and coordinator. Under this initiative, a dedicated team works collectively to spread the essence of Sanatan values among society, especially the younger generation. According to him, Sanatan represents eternal truth, self-welfare, and public welfare, and the objective of the initiative is to nurture youth into becoming patriotic, spiritually aware, disciplined, and value-oriented individuals.

Sanatan Pathshala functions as an open educational and cultural platform focused on reviving India’s ancient knowledge traditions through practical learning and public outreach. Through activities such as Brahma Yajna, Havan training, meditation sessions, and discussions based on Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, the organization works to help individuals improve concentration, strengthen values, and understand the deeper dimensions of Indian philosophy and life management.

The initiative regularly organizes sessions in schools, colleges, and institutions where subject experts interact with students on topics related to Sanskrit, astrology, management, spirituality, and Indian knowledge systems. Guided by the thought “कृण्वन्तो विश्वमार्यम्,” the team works toward spreading constructive, value-based awareness for the welfare of humanity and society.

The organization is supported by a diverse team of experts from multiple disciplines. Among them are Akhilesh Sharma, an astrology expert and retired Executive Engineer known for presenting astrology from a scientific perspective, and Dr. Renu Paliwal, a distinguished Sanskrit scholar with qualifications including MA, MPhil, and PhD in Sanskrit studies. The initiative is also supported by educationist and retired principal Gopal Kaneria, who currently serves as President of Apna Ghar Ashram, Udaipur. Together with nearly fifteen dedicated members from different professional backgrounds, Sanatan Pathshala continues to expand its efforts in connecting modern society with India’s spiritual, educational, and cultural heritage.

At present, Sanatan Pathshala founder Udaipur Dr. Bhupendra Sharma and his team are also working extensively in the field of mind management and emotional well-being, focusing on helping people overcome stress, negativity, and depression through disciplined thinking, meditation, and spiritual awareness. In this initiative, management expert Ashish Singhal actively contributes alongside the Sanatan Pathshala team. Through interactive sessions in schools, colleges, and institutions, the organization conducts discussions on Indian knowledge traditions, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, meditation, personality refinement, and mental balance to help students remain positive, focused, and emotionally strong.

The team also organizes collective Havan programs, meditation workshops, and awareness sessions highlighting the role of Gau Mata and the practical relevance of Sanatan values in everyday life. All these activities are conducted completely free of cost, and individuals interested in contributing through knowledge, service, or participation are welcomed wholeheartedly. Dr. Sharma believes that preserving cultural and ethical foundations is essential for building a stronger society and nation.

Alongside his social and spiritual engagements, Dr. Bhupendra has also remained active in the fields of communication, literature, and public speaking. By the grace of God, he served as a casual announcer at Akashvani Udaipur and regularly received opportunities for stage anchoring in both Hindi and English across educational, social, and religious programs. His upbringing in institutions deeply rooted in patriotism, discipline, and cultural values played an important role in shaping his personality. From childhood, he remained associated with service-oriented activities and stayed connected to Arya Samaj ideology through the influence of his father and maternal grandfather, from whom he inherited the values of Vedic culture and disciplined living.

After retiring from the State Bank of India, he decided to dedicate every moment of his life toward spreading awareness about Sanatan Vedic culture, value-based living, and social harmony. With the vision of contributing, even in a small way, toward building a cleaner, more value-oriented, and spiritually aware society, he gradually transformed his thoughts into organized action through Sanatan Pathshala. Recalling the growth of this initiative, he often reflects upon the line, “मैं अकेला ही चला था जानिब-ए-मंजिल मगर, लोग साथ आते गए और कारवां बनता गया,” describing how like-minded individuals gradually joined the mission and strengthened the movement collectively.

Born in a traditional Sanatani family in Beawar, Dr. Sharma later moved to Udaipur after his father’s transfer in the education department. His early education began in Udaipur at Vidhya Niketan Senior Secondary School, Udaipur where he received strong grounding in patriotism, discipline, social service, and cultural values. He also studied at Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur where he developed confidence in English communication and public interaction.

After completing his schooling, including studies at Guru Govind Singh Government Senior Secondary School, Udaipur he pursued commerce education at MB College, now known as the College of Commerce, Udaipur. During his undergraduate years, he was selected for the State Bank of India, beginning a long professional career alongside his parallel involvement in public speaking, anchoring, and cultural activities.

Apart from social and educational service, he also explored literary expression through poetry and writing. He authored two poetry collections titled “Prem Deepak” and “Neh Spandan,” along with a one-act play collection that received financial support from the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi. His interest in yoga and meditation, which had existed since childhood, later expanded through formal training with Patanjali Yogpeeth and Vanprastha Sadhak Ashram, Rojad, Gujarat, where he became a certified meditation trainer. Step by step, through continuous learning and disciplined effort, he kept adding new dimensions to his life dedicated to spirituality, education, and public welfare.

As the mission of Sanatan Pathshala continued to expand, Dr. Bhupendra Sharma also deepened his involvement in yoga, meditation, Sanskrit learning, and spiritual training. His interest in yoga had existed since childhood, which later led him to become a certified yoga trainer associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth. Similarly, his inclination toward meditation guided him to Vanprastha Sadhak Ashram, Rojad, Gujarat, a spiritual center connected with Arya Samaj, where he received formal training and became a certified meditation trainer.

Over the years, he also remained connected with various Arya Samaj institutions, including Rishi Udyan, Ajmer, where he studied Vedic meditation, culture, religion, yoga philosophy, and Sanskrit communication. Through continuous learning and disciplined effort, he gradually strengthened his understanding of Sanskrit language and Vedic traditions, believing that meaningful growth happens step by step, just as “drop by drop fills the vessel.”

Among his greatest sources of inspiration is Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, founder of Arya Samaj, whose reformist vision left a deep impact on his thinking and life philosophy. Dr. Sharma believes that at a time when Indian society was trapped in social divisions, blind faith, and superstition, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati worked fearlessly to unite society through Vedic principles, women’s upliftment, girls’ education, and social reform.

He especially admires the timeless contribution of the book “Satyarth Prakash,” which he considers a transformative text dedicated to truth, awareness, and the welfare of humanity. Alongside these philosophical inspirations, he also receives guidance from living mentors including Gopal Kaneria, President of Apna Ghar Ashram, Udaipur, whose simplicity, disciplined personality, and service-oriented approach continue to inspire him. His spiritual guidance has also been shaped by Muni Satyajit Arya, spiritual head of Vanprastha Sadhak Ashram whom he regards as his spiritual guru. According to Dr. Sharma, every individual who contributes to one’s growth and learning deserves respect as a guru.

One philosophy that repeatedly motivates him in life is the saying, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” He believes that progress begins the moment a person gathers the courage to take the first sincere step and then continues moving forward with consistency and dedication. Another line close to his heart is, “I am a slow walker, but I never walk back.” Through these thoughts, he emphasizes that speed is less important than direction, discipline, and continuity. According to him, if a person keeps moving steadily toward a meaningful goal with faith, patience, and positive energy, success eventually becomes inevitable. These principles continue to guide his personal life, spiritual path, and social mission even today.

Dr. Bhupendra Sharma believes that the greatest achievement in life is not awards or recognition, but receiving this rare human life itself. According to him, among billions of living beings, becoming a human being is the first and biggest blessing. He considers it a true achievement when a person continuously uses their thoughts, words, and actions for self-improvement and the welfare of others.

For him, the real satisfaction comes from seeing positive transformation in people’s lives through guidance, motivation, and spiritual awareness. Whenever individuals share how his words or teachings helped change their thinking or lifestyle, he considers those moments among the most meaningful accomplishments of his life.

He often explains life through the four foundational principles of Indian philosophy — Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. He believes Dharma represents a life based on righteousness and values, while Artha signifies financial stability achieved ethically. Dr. Sharma shares that by God’s grace he has reached a stage of financial independence where he can dedicate his time freely toward social service, cultural awareness, and spiritual activities without personal financial concerns. He interprets Kama not as material desire alone, but as noble aspirations connected to self-growth and public welfare.

Moksha, according to him, is a long spiritual pursuit that requires continuous discipline, prayer, meditation, and inner purification across lifetimes. Daily havan, spiritual practice, and morning-evening sadhana therefore remain an essential part of his routine. Alongside spiritual fulfillment, he has also received appreciation and honors from various organizations and institutions for his contributions in cultural and social fields. He also completed a Spoken English course through Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, where he secured distinction, which he humbly considers another small milestone in his life.

According to Dr. Sharma, every individual’s life is already filled with achievements; people simply need to introspect and recognize them. He expresses deep gratitude toward God, his parents, elders, mentors, colleagues, and even younger generations who contributed in shaping his purposeful life. For him, every relationship and every learning experience has become a meaningful achievement.

A major focus of his present work is encouraging the younger generation to reconnect with Sanatan values through practical learning. He explains that many young individuals have already learned daily havan practices, Vedic rituals, mantra pronunciation, and all Sixteen Rites of Passage (सोलह संस्कार) under his guidance. People like Yogacharya Devaram Purohit, Jignesh Sharma, Kamlesh Vaishnav, and several others are today independently conducting rituals and ceremonies in their respective fields after receiving training.

Dr. Sharma believes that yoga, yajna, and Sanatan traditions are not only spiritually uplifting but can also become meaningful livelihood opportunities for youth. He especially emphasizes that unemployment can also be reduced if interested youth receive proper training in these traditional disciplines. Through Sanatan Pathshala, such training and guidance are provided completely free of cost for those genuinely interested in learning and serving society.

In his message to the younger generation, Dr. Sharma recalls Swami Vivekananda’s famous words: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved.” He believes today’s youth must awaken with purpose, build a clear roadmap for life, maintain personal discipline, and define goals that contribute both to personal growth and social welfare. According to him, if young people move ahead with such balanced thinking and cultural grounding, India can once again rise to the position of Vishwaguru. He concludes with gratitude toward the “Meri Kahani” initiative for providing him a platform to share his thoughts, experiences, and vision with society.
