An author by passion and a corporate professional by profession, Bhawna has been giving back to the efforts of her maternal uncle, who first sowed the seed of literature in her, through her literary work.

Bhawna Tewari works as an assistant vice president at a bank in Hyderabad. Besides, she is a published author and the founder of readernwriters.com, a digital community of authors, writers, and people who do literary work.

Bhawna originally hails from Bhopal. But, for the past thirteen years, she has been settled in Hyderabad. She completed her school and college education in Bhopal itself.

Talking about her childhood, Bhawna says that she was born in a middle-class family and her childhood was pretty ordinary. She grew up watching Mahabharata and Ramayana, the epic Indian TV series. Besides, she opted for the Commerce-Math stream in high school and was a good student academically. She got the highest score in mathematics in the entire country in her twelfth board examination conducted by CBSE, she says.

Bhawna shares that nobody in her family was related to literature in any capacity. However, her maternal uncle would narrate to her the poems of Mirza Ghalib when she was just in second grade at school. And on every Diwali, he would gift her a new poetry book. Thus, she naturally got inclined towards literature, and also developed a penchant for Urdu. She says she credits her love for literature and all her literary work to her maternal uncle only.

Bhawna shares that she was pursuing her B.Com. as she wanted to do something in the field of Economics. However, she had to opt for a job due to her family condition while she was still pursuing her bachelors. She came to Hyderabad to work. She worked in the corporate sector for about five years. Meanwhile, her writing work had taken a back seat. However, when she attended a concert by Jagjit Singh in Hyderabad, her love for literature and poetry got aroused again and she resumed writing.

Sharing her struggles, Bhawna says that she had somehow arranged a desktop computer to write. But when the computer crashed, all her writing work got deleted with it too. And it was quite disheartening for her. But she continued writing and exploring. Since she was interested in fiction, she wrote a book entitled Rise of Hindustan which was based on the relations and differences between India and Pakistan through her lense, and the book was well received and reviewed by her friends, she says. However, she had to struggle to ramp up the sales of her book when its sales were going down. Later, she realized that she was not the only struggling writer, and she came up with a digital platform to form a community of like-minded writers and authors to help them.

Talking about her achievements, Bhawna says that being able to buy a car with her own money and to write her own book are achievements for her. Besides, she says that when she posted one of her paintings on social media, it was liked and commented on by a renowned artist based in New York city which made her feel elated.

Her Success Mantra is to always maintain genuineness and consistency in her work to become successful.

When asked about her role models, Bhawna says that different people have inspired her at different points in time. To name a few, JRD Tata and Ratan Tata have been her role models. Besides, her mother and sister are also inspirations for her.

In her spare time, Bhawna likes to read, paint and travel. Besides, she is a big movie buff and likes to watch movies and listen to music in her free time.

To aspiring writers, Bhawna advises them to be genuine in their work and write from their heart without worrying about whether people will like it or not. Besides, she also advises them to learn to market their books and themselves.

To the youth of today, Bhawna tells them that they have tremendous talent; however, she advises them to be patient and consistent in their efforts if they want to remain successful in the longer run.
