Bhawna Agarwal has been serving as a PGT-Chemistry at Rockwoods High School in Udaipur since 2015, when the institution introduced its first senior class, the 11th grade.

Over the years, Rockwoods has become like a second family to her. She speaks highly of the supportive and cooperative environment at the school, noting that all the faculty members, including Alka Madam and Deepak Sir, have played an integral role in creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere in the school that has fostered both personal and professional growth.

Bhawna Agarwal was born and raised in Jaipur, and her education took her to various places across Rajasthan due to her father’s transferable job. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Rajasthan University, where she topped the university in Chemistry. Additionally, she cleared the NET-JRF examination and went on to earn a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rajasthan University, further solidifying her academic excellence.

When asked about role models in her life, Bhawna Agarwal shares that she looks up to her father, drawing inspiration from his unwavering honesty. She admires the values he instilled in her, which have greatly influenced her personal and professional life.

To aspiring teachers, Bhawna Agarwal offers valuable advice: they should approach their profession with honesty and dedication, as teachers serve as role models for their students. She emphasizes that being focused and committed to their work is essential in shaping the future of young minds.

For students, Bhawna Agarwal urges them to be cautious of mobile phone addiction. While gadgets can be useful, she warns that excessive use of the same can have negative long-term effects. She advises students to use technology wisely and in moderation. Additionally, she encourages them to be sincere and dedicated in whatever field they choose, stressing that hard work and integrity are key to success in any career.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Bhawna Agarwal says that, in her view, education serves as the passport to your job, providing the foundation for entering your field, while experience and skills are what truly sharpen and shape your personality, helping you excel in your profession.

She shares that her entire family was affected by the disease at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, during that challenging time, she received immense support from Alka Madam, the Director of the school, along with wholehearted cooperation from other staff members including the principal and the teachers.

In her free time, Bhawna enjoys reading stories, listening to music, and visiting historical places. She also finds joy in cooking, making the most of her spare moments.
