Bhavin Pitiliya is the owner of Siddhi Hardware which deals in all types of furniture hardware. Exclusively, they offer twenty-five types of finishes in hardware.

They also work for bespoke solutions, which means that if a customer has an idea in mind but is unsure whether it can be implemented, they make it a reality. They complete whatever they undertake and match the finish demanded by the client.

Pitliya started this business in 2021 in Udaipur. He observed that the market in Udaipur worked mostly with regular hardware. So, he decided to work on a gallery-based concept, where customers could experience hardware in person. He wanted people to feel and touch the materials because choosing from a photo alone isn’t possible for everyone. This idea was brought to reality in Udaipur, and he is very happy working there.

Entrepreneur Bhavin Pitliya shares that his father owned a cloth factory in Udaipur, which was later shifted to Bhilwara because Bhilwara’s clothing market was better. Bhavin was born, brought up, and educated in Bhilwara, completing all his schooling and college there. He did a Master in Business Administration. Coming from a Jain family, he shares that every Jain family expects their child to become a CA. So, he went to Indore to pursue CA studies, attending a coaching center there. He passed and failed during the process but eventually realized he didn’t have interest in CA. His parents gave him options to explore beyond the family business.

After college in 2017, within 5–6 months, he left Bhilwara. He first went to Bangalore and tried the silver industry there but didn’t find it suitable as it was very different and a typical type of market. Then he went to Chennai to learn the hardware market, which he found interesting. However, the products and business methods there differed from those in Rajasthan. Back then, he didn’t understand the difference in market culture, so he returned.

He initially considered joining his father in the clothing business but realized he wanted to work in construction and hardware instead. He explored the hardware market extensively. Although people often said that there was inflation, competition, or the market was not booming, he understood that the hardware market is vast. There are countless finishes and daily innovations, which create continuous opportunities.

Bhavin Pitliya shares that he left the regular hardware market to focus on a gallery-based model, as he wanted to do something new. The response in Udaipur was very encouraging. From there, he expanded to Jaipur and even reached Tamil Nadu through references. He also started online deliveries. He feels that the market is excellent for learning, as the hardware sector is constantly evolving, with new products introduced daily and old ones phased out.

Regarding his role models, Bhavin Pitliya mentions that everyone considers their father a role model, and he agrees. However, for the second part of his learning, his colleagues, staff, carpenters, and engineers also inspire him. These people teach him new things daily, and their contributions are reciprocal. He believes that knowledge grows when shared; otherwise, people cannot learn new things.

Hardware Business Owner Bhavin Pitliya emphasizes that families often remain orthodox without exposing children to the modern world. Unless someone explains new ideas, younger generations cannot understand them.

He shares that during 2015–16, he was uncertain whether to continue studying, help in the family business, or start something on his own. He realized that whatever setup he created would have to be done on his own level. He recalls a quote that inspired him during that phase:

“Somewhere between small incidents, life happens.”

This means that small events, good or bad, can completely change life. One must recognize these moments and act on them to bring change.

Owning Siddhi Hardware is Bhavin’s biggest achievement. He opened it independently, explaining his ideas to friends and seeking their help when needed. He feels emotionally connected to his business and is ready to dedicate day and night to it. Family and friends’ support was essential, and with it, he believes anything is achievable. He emphasizes that one should never stop dreaming. Life has two possibilities: either something will happen on its own, or it will not. If it happens, someone might do it for you; if not, you must do it yourself.

Pitliya believes that achievement in life never stops. After opening his business, his next goal is to expand with another gallery. Desires and achievements are continuous; for example, if someone earns 100 rupees today, the next day, they will desire to make a thousand. Achievements grow over time. Everyone achieves something in life, which makes them capable of living independently. Of course, some exceptions exist, but generally, each person is capable of achieving. He emphasizes that one should never lose hope, as everything in life can be seen as an achievement.

For those wanting to enter his field, Bhavin Pitliya advises looking at family examples, as many of them are already involved in different businesses. He also comments on Gen Z tendencies, where some young people prefer business over jobs due to social media influence, attracted by luxury lifestyles without seeing the hard work behind them.

He stresses the importance of education. Even after achieving success, Bhavin is preparing for LLB, now in his second year. He believes studying will help him handle future business challenges, such as expanding Siddhi Hardware into a private limited company or franchising. Knowledge equips one to face obstacles independently without relying on others.

He advises newcomers to invest in business and understand that no business starts without investment. Marketing and operations require money, and employees expect at least small gifts like pens or diaries, and they should not be disappointed.

He recommends giving at least three years to a business, a practice he followed. Siddhi Hardware is now in its fifth year, and after four years of hard work, they now feel confident about their position in the market. He also notes that competition is essential; without it, a business cannot thrive. Establishing a monopoly requires sufficient money, research, and a strong team. Decisions should be made collectively rather than individually. Documentation and surveys are vital for knowledge accumulation.

Pitliya mentions that his clients include doctors, bureaucrats, hoteliers, and businessmen. Meeting these clients requires confidence and the ability to discuss life experiences. Stories from personal life help establish trust and bonding.

Commenting on the current market scenario, he explains that inflation is often misunderstood. While prices rise, lifestyle changes and smaller family structures influence the perceived cost. For instance, previously, in a family of 10, four people earned. Today, in a family of four, sometimes only one person earns, yet expenses must be managed for children, travel, and lifestyle. Proper planning is essential.
