An Associate Professor of Law, Bhavik talks about the upward rise of his career after seeing many lows that made him reconsider his ways.

Bhavik Paneri is an Associate Professor at MLSU University College of Law in Udaipur.

Recalling his childhood, Bhavik says that he was born and raised in Gogunda, Udaipur. He was an average student in school, scoring average to below-average marks. He says that in ninth grade he decided to change his ways for a better future. He started to have high attendance in subsequent classes, and he also started clearing his concepts after returning from school. He emphasizes the importance of the habit of revising everything taught in school once again.

Talking about his journey, Bhavik says that after clearing his LLB from B.N. College, he completed his LLM in 2008 and SAT in 2010 in his first attempt. He passed his Ph.D. entrance along with his SAT and his NET examinations in 2012 and joined MohanLal Sukhadia University as an Associate Professor in 2018. His first teaching experience was, however, at Anushka Law College. After this, there was no looking back.

Sharing about his COVID experiences, Bhavik says that the pandemic posed new challenges for everyone, especially the education sector, which was completely disrupted. They maneuvered through such tough times without compromising the quality of education. Going through Bar Council guidelines about COVID, provisions for online examinations, releasing timely results, and conducting online classes, he says that it was a tough time that taught him and others a multitude of new things. Technology proved to be a great help, he adds.

While comparing education and experience, Bhavik says that in the field of law, both are important. Education and experience complement each other.

Bhavik advises that in today’s era, it is important to be connected with nature to grow in life. He advises that to succeed in life, one should do continuous, uninterrupted studies. The field of law requires skills and capabilities, along with proper and deep knowledge.
