Bharat Soni is the owner of Shri Shri Ornaments. Apart from his business, he has a deep passion for singing and playing the guitar.
Originally from Sirohi, Rajasthan, he currently lives with his parents, whom he considers a great support in his endeavors. He believes that while his business is his priority for earning a livelihood, music is his true passion, providing him with satisfaction at the end of the day.
Sharing his achievements, Bharat says he has achieved numerous awards in school competitions and has won many competitions on Instagram, Facebook, and in his society and community programs. He has also earned several online certifications and had the opportunity to sing a song for the Flower City project in Mount Abu.
Bharat's interest in music began early. When he was in fifth grade, he discovered his talent for dancing and started listening to songs by Shreya Ghosal and Atif Aslam on his small phone. This sparked his interest in singing, and he began performing in school programmes, even making his own singing videos. During a vacation in 10th grade, he joined guitar classes and practiced diligently, eventually becoming proficient enough to teach others. He enjoys singing light music and finds great joy in it.
He reflects on his life with gratitude, noting the unwavering support of his family in achieving his goals. Running a wholesale business in silver and gold, he offers a range of ornaments for both men and women, from Italian chains to rings and earrings.
Recalling his childhood, Bharat fondly remembers participating in dancing and singing competitions during his school days. His friends always encouraged his talent, motivating him to pursue singing and dancing further. After completing his B.Com. in Sirohi, he received two years of training in classical music from Markandey Upadhyay of the Azim Premji Foundation. On his guru’s advice, he pursued a degree in Additional Music from Jaipur, which may help him become a music teacher in a government school.
When asked about his role models, Bharat says he considers his guru, Markandey Upadhyay, as his role model and draws inspiration from musicians like Atif Aslam, Armaan Malik, and Arijit Singh.
Talking about his struggles, he recalls facing significant obstacles in pursuing his passion for music. With limited resources and a challenging financial situation, he couldn't afford a guitar. However, his perseverance led him to perform at social and school functions, catching the attention of his uncle, who generously gifted him a guitar. His mother also supported him and provided him with the funds to purchase a new guitar. He says that he triumphed over obstacles with the blessings of his parents.
For aspiring singers, Bharat emphasizes the importance of passion in pursuing music, as dedication and time are essential for learning. He encourages youngsters to remain humble, regardless of their achievements, and to contribute positively to society.
Bharat believes that spiritual growth and valuing one's parents are essential for personal development. He advocates meditation and yoga to enhance intellectual power and to maintain inner peace.
In addition to his passion for music, Bharat enjoys traveling and meeting new people.
