Bharat Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Hospitality Management at the Gujarat Hospitality Institute in Kota. Since this was his dream job, he is content to teach aspiring hospitality professionals.
Bharat completed his schooling and graduation in Kota before moving to Udaipur to complete his master's degree in hotel management. He began his career in 2013 by accepting a position in a five-star hotel in Udaipur after completing his education. He worked in the hotel business for more than three years.
Bharat recalls that while all of his cousins and friends desired to become doctors or engineers, he had other aspirations. He had always intended to work in the hospitality sector. Choosing the hotel management line was a difficult decision for him, given his typical family and social background. He had to persuade his parents for a long time. But he never gave up and remained focused on his goal. Finally, he entered the hotel management industry and established a career for himself.
Speaking of challenging times, Bharat says that he has encountered them several times throughout his life. But he refrained from letting fear win. He kept a positive attitude and saw the challenges as learning moments.
When asked about his inspirations, Bharat says his family, especially his father, are his true inspirations.
Bharat teaches young aspirants that if they can think of anything, they can attain it. “All it takes to achieve one's goals is initiative”, asserts Bharat.
