Bhanwar has faced a lot of struggle during his work-tenure by participating in many movements for the welfare of teachers in Rajasthan. Also, he is constantly working for the safety, security and good treatment of senior citizens all over the country.

Bhanwar Seth is the President of the Varishth Nagrik Sansthan-Rajasthan which works for senior citizens. He is also the Vice-President of the All India Senior Citizens’ Confederation. He established an organization in Udaipur as ‘Maharana Pratap Varishth Nagrik Sansthan’, in 2007 and today almost one thousand couples are its members. He is also the President of the Pensioners Samaj.

Bhanwar says, after his retirement he decided to work for the benefit of senior citizens and with this view he took this mission and has taken it forward.

Bhanwar was born in Delwara and grew up in Gogunda village. He says he lived a simple life in the village with very limited resources. He came to Udaipur at the age of ten and did his early education from a primary school and then went to Kanwarpada Higher Sec School, Udaipur.

Bhanwar shares that when he wanted to get a college education, his family refused him because at that time their financial condition was not such that he could study in college. So as a result, he had to take a job in Hindustan Zinc. After four months of his service, he realized the importance of education and that’s why he got admission in First Year TDC at MB College. To meet his expenses, he did tuition from which he used to earn twenty-five rupees per month for three years. Then his family members supported him and he did B.Sc. in 1963, he founded the Student Council along with his friends.

After doing B.Sc. he got a job in the Department of Mines & Geology as a Chemical Assistant. Then he joined Jagdish Chowk Girls School, as a Math Teacher. He facilitated development in the school with regards to infrastructure, subjects and courses. Soon, he did his M.Sc. and got promoted and transferred to Rajsamand. He says in 1973, a huge employee movement in Rajasthan arised and he became a part of it due to which he had to go to jail for a day. Till then, he worked in Rajasthan's Education Union on the posts of District President, Vice President, General Secretary and State President for twelve years. He participated in many struggles in the field of education owing to which he went to jail for hundred days and as a result, the status of Rajasthan teachers has improved a lot.

Bhanwar says through Rajasthan Teachers Association, he got a chance to work in many institutions like All India Institute of Senior Citizens, Rajasthan, AIPMT and AISCC. He was also a member of the Board of Secondary Education for six years.

Today, Bhanwar is constantly working to solve the problems of senior citizens and those who are below the poverty line by providing them facilities and resources basic for a living, through Akhil Bhartiya Sansthan.

Bhanwar feels that due to Corona, the whole country stopped in a jiffy and even he didn’t understand for several days about what to be done in such a situation. He distributed twenty-eight thousand food packets through his Maharana Pratap Sansthan.

Bhanwar says that there is a huge difference between today’s generation and the older one, that the earlier generation has lived in deprivation and today’s generation has got more than enough facilities and resources. So he advises the younger generation to start living life with bare usage of resources to protect their family and give a message to the new generation. Also, there should be a sense of dedication in your mind to help others so that you can get success in your life.
