Bhanwar Singh Rathore is working with the Vrinda Hotel group in Nathdwara. He has been working with this group for the past twelve years.
Describing his journey, Bhanwar says after completing his school education, he started working on a salary of mere two thousand rupees. Then he came to know about a company which was recruiting personnel for the US Army to fight in Iraq. He joined the US army to defeat his poverty and worked with it for nine years. He got a good earning and even called his brother to join the US Army. He then came back and went to Jaisalmer to join a hotel of the Vrinda Group hotel. There he worked and learned the tricks of the trade for six years.
When asked about his difficult times, Bhanwar says he was posted in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, launched by the US Army. However, he never felt that he was going through a tough time despite living in a war zone.
Speaking about his role models, Bhanwar says he looks up to his father as his role model. He also gives credit for his success to the MD of the Vrinda Group, Bhupesh Bhatia, who taught him the nuances of the hotel business.
Bhanwar’s success mantra is “Hard work is the key to success.”
When asked about whether education or experience is more important, Bhanwar says he thinks experience is more important. He quotes his own example and says he can run this hotel, operate a computer and speak fluent English despite receiving education until tenth grade only because of his experience.
Bhanwar says he has seen Nathdwara developing all these years. He gives the credit of its development to a local based company “Miraj”. He says both “Miraj ” and the government are working well towards the development of Nathdwara.
Bhanwar suggests the youth to first join the newly launched Agnipath scheme of the Indian Army, spend three-four years, and they would be in love with their country and people. After completion of their tenure with the army, they can join any of the fields.
