Competing at the highest level is not about winning. It’s about preparation, courage, understanding, and nurturing your people and heart.

Bhagwan Vaishnav is the founder of Hotel Baba Palace. He is also the president of the Hotel Association.
Bhagwan is a native of Udaipur and did his schooling and college in Udaipur itself. When he was just eight years old, he lost his father and was left with two siblings, a mother, and a colossal duty to look after the family. It became difficult for him to manage everything. In order to support his family and not take a break from his studies, he went to a night college and continued his job. During his life, there was no page unturned; from working at a pan shop to a general store, he did all the work. He also mentions his mother as the epitome of hard work, who never let him and his siblings feel the vacuum.
Bhagwan started his journey 20 years ago after being associated with the hospitality business for six years preceding this. Earlier, he had a restaurant, Mayur Cafe, in Jagdish Chowk. He started his career in 1985 in the restaurant business and never encountered any issues in proceeding with it until COVID. COVID hit every businessman badly, and his hotel also faced the brunt of it. As the situation is falling into place now, business is still 10% of what it used to be earlier.
Bhagwan shares that he has been an active social worker since he was only 15 years old. He has been president of the Hotel Association for four years and has been an active participant in the activities of the RSS and the BJP since his college days. He is also the national vice president of the Vaishanv Samaj and has arranged a free hostel facility for students.
Bhagwan accepts that good business needs great experience, and experience cannot be accomplished without education. Money comes later, but with experience, one can accomplish great things. Furthermore, particularly in the hotel industry, one requires great experience and backing from family.
Bhagwan mentions that whatever he has learned is from the elders of society, as he lost his father early in his life. He claims that love, respect for colleagues, and working ability have to be shown in order to become a leader. He made sure to complete whatever work he took on without any delay. This is applicable in any job, which ensures that people will appreciate it and join hands.
For Bhagwan, work is the only song he has hummed.
Bhagwan often misses his childhood and says that although he cannot go back in time, he will always cherish those memories with a smile.
