As an English teacher and student counselor in Udaipur, Beena Biyani has dedicated herself to training students aspiring to gain admission to prestigious schools across India. She has been in this profession since 1997, and her journey began after moving to Udaipur and confronting life's challenges head-on.
Beena Biyani’s life took a dramatic turn when she faced a tragic event, yet she resolutely picked herself up and committed to giving her children a quality education.
Reflecting on her childhood, Beena fondly remembers the simple joys of picking raw mangoes, exploring the riverside with friends, and studying under a Mulberry tree. Despite her early educational pursuits in Kota, it was the loss of her husband that catalyzed her entry into teaching, driven by the necessity to support her family.
Encouraged by well-wishers to teach English, Beena Biyani ventured into this new path, supported by her academic qualifications—an honors degree in English and postgraduate degrees in Economics and Business Administration. Her teaching career took flight when she began preparing students for Mayo College, marking the start of a fulfilling journey in education and counseling.
Beena expresses deep gratitude towards her mother, who ensured she attended an English-medium school at a time when early marriage for girls was common. She holds that personal and professional experiences have enriched her understanding far more than formal education alone.
Her advice is clear: trust yourself, make independent decisions, and avoid relying on others' opinions, as every individual's journey is unique. She emphasizes the importance of clear communication, advising students to stick to one language and avoid mixing Hindi and English.
For parents, Beena Biyani advocates allowing children to choose their own paths rather than imposing parental desires. She also stresses the importance of respecting nature and using its resources wisely to ensure their sustainability for future generations.
On a personal note, Beena encourages self-reliance, urging individuals to strive for independence rather than seeking financial help.
In her free time, Beena Biyani enjoys yoga, gardening, and embroidery, which she considers her favorite pastimes.
