Azad Charania is the owner of Divine Cakes and Flowers in Mumbai. He is getting positive responses from people for his cakes and other bakery products.
Azad hails from Mumbai. He completed his HSC exam at Mumbai University.
Talking about his childhood, Azad says that it was spent very joyfully with his friends. His childhood friends are still in contact with him, and they also helped him start his bakery and flower business. He says that in the eighties and nineties, kids used to play physical and outdoor games, which are somehow missing with the kids today who are mostly engrossed in electronic gadgets.
Azad considers his father his role model. His father was a successful businessman himself, and he taught Azad to know and understand the requirements of customers and ensure customer satisfaction. This lesson from his father helped him when he started his own business.
Sharing his pandemic experience, Azad says that in the fast-paced life of Mumbai, where people are too busy with their work to do anything else or care for others, the pandemic taught them to help and stand with one another in tough times. People provided monetary and emotional help to each other. And it was a tough time for some people too, as they had to lose their loved ones to the pandemic. He got to spend quality time with his friends and family.
If Azad could go back in time, he would want to relive his teenage days, when he would just have fun and enjoy himself without worrying about anything.
To the youth, his advice is to have a good education and learn new languages to grow in life. Besides, refrain from any sort of intoxicant and value your life.
When asked about his thoughts on leadership, Azad says that his style of leadership is to interact with people politely and treat them the same way he would want to be treated. Besides, being honest and truthful to others are the values that he follows in his life.
His advice to aspiring businessmen is that whatever they do, they should do it with an innovative approach and also adapt to the digital changes that are happening in the market to sustain the competition. Besides, you ought to understand your customers’ requirements and ensure customer satisfaction, says Azad.
