A musician who skipped his placement to start a career in music, Ayush is now a guitarist and likes his profession.

Ayush Chhetri is a guitarist and a member of Amritva—The Band.

Ayush has been learning to play the guitar for the past nine years. He also learnt vocals for two years before turning to the guitar. He started learning guitar in the ninth grade from his guru, Brij Kishor Saxena.

Recalling his journey, Ayush says he did his graduation in Mechanical Automobile engineering because he was interested in automobiles. However, for his graduation, he thought of trying singing and music. After his graduation, he skipped placements and started a band of his own. Currently, he is following his passion and working with two music bands.

Sharing his achievements, Ayush says his band did a grand opening for the event Eat Sleep Repeat at JLN Stadium in Delhi, which is his biggest accomplishment so far. Playing the guitar in front of 5,000 people was a huge achievement for him.

When asked about his mistakes, Ayush says mistakes are a part of growth; and a person can grow better by making mistakes. He also makes mistakes, learns from them, and tries not to repeat them.

Remembering his role models, Ayush says his role model is his guru, Brij Kishor Saxena, as he learned from him, and was inspired by him to choose music as a career.

Talking about challenges, Ayush says there is no proper schedule for his band as they have to perform at different times. However, they still love their profession.

Advising the youth, Ayush says that they should give it a try and be honest with their art. Furthermore, he believes that the harder you work, the luckier you are. He suggests learning from a guru. And, to make music a profession, you need to dig into the art, and consistency will help you become a better musician.
