With her hard work and determination, Awanee Subhedar fulfilled her childhood dream of entering the teaching profession and became a lecturer at a prestigious university. She is also in charge of the alumni cell at Medi-Caps University, adding another feather to her cap.

Awanee Subhedar works as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics at Medi-Caps University in Indore. She has been associated with the institution for the past 16 years. Her area of specialisation is VLSI where circuits of different characteristics are integrated into a single chip.

Awanee Subhedar also looks after the Alumni Cell of the university as an incharge under whose auspices diverse alumni come together and share their experiences at Medi-Caps University. The Alumni Association brings all former students of the university from different fields on a single platform to help each other as well as their alma mater. For this, the university organises online events and has also formed city chapters in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Indore. The alumni are given the opportunity to offer expert talks, internships, workshops, and placements which are helpful for their juniors. To document all these, the college has alumni newsletters, magazines, and year books.

She shares a recent development when an online US city chapter has been formed where former students who are studying or working in the USA share their experiences with their alma mater.

Reflecting on her childhood days, Awanee shares that she always wanted to become a teacher as she grew up witnessing her father who is in the same profession. Engineering came second for her, and becoming a teacher was her childhood dream. She completed her schooling at Guru Harkrishan Public School followed by her graduation in Electronics from Medi-Caps University. She pursued her VLSI course from Indraprastha University which brought her closer to her childhood dream.

Subhedar says she was very much connected to her alma mater, Medi-Caps University and wanted to serve the institution as a teacher.

When asked about her role models, Awanee Subhedar says she draws inspiration from Swami Vivekananda. As a child, she was inspired by the grace on his face, which motivated her to respect him. As she grew older, she learned about his achievements, which stemmed from his life experiences.

According to her, coming together is just a beginning, keeping together is a progress, and working together would be a success if she gets all the alumni together on one platform. This brings a miraculous change in the working culture so it motivates her and she wants to inculcate in others also, she says.

In her message to the students, she suggests to students and alumni of Medicaps University that they should never say no to hard work which is the key to success in life.
