Ashwin Panicker is working as a Brand Strategist and Business Development Manager at White Carbon Motors - an electric vehicle manufacturing company based in Gujarat. Ashwin’s childhood friend founded this company and he really believes in his friend’s vision for the company.

Ashwin’s childhood was very privileged. His father was in government service. So Ashwin got a good education and support from his family. His childhood was an enjoyable period for him.

Ashwin likes to face challenges head-on. He says that he enrolled himself for an engineering course with an aim to become an automobile engineer. But later, he realised that it was not meant for him. He went to Canada and pursued a degree in Operations Management, something which he liked to study. Soon he realised that managing things was his true calling. Right after his college in Canada, he got an internship. He was all set to do his first job there, but the company rescinded his offer citing that they were not hiring foreign students. It was a major setback for him as he had an educational loan to repay. But it taught him not to lose hope in life. He kept trying and landed a better opportunity at a bigger organisation.

Ashwin says that the pandemic has been really tough for everyone. It affected us mentally and physically and many people suffered losses financially and personally.

Ashwin has added many skills to his repertoire. He has worked in purchase, inventory management, imports and exports etc. He says that his diverse skill-set helps him in adding value to his current organisation. Besides, he is also a partner with a restaurant chain.

Ashwin feels that markets are still hit by the pandemic. His company is also adhering to the Covid norms and trying its best to provide its customers the best experience possible.

Ashwin has a varied set of hobbies. He likes to dance, do Jumba, boxing and rope skipping. He learned boxing around five years ago. It helps him keep himself physically fit and active.

Ashwin considers his father as his role model. He says that his father gave him a good upbringing and taught him to always be positive.

Ashwin believes that as human beings, we have potential to do anything that we want to do. We have been able to combat and sail through severe natural calamities. So he advises that keep going and keep doing what you love to do.

Ashwin thinks that whatever happens, happens for a reason. So even if he could go back in time he would not want to change anything. He is happy with the way he has lived his life.

Ashwin believes that there is no short-cut to success. You have to work harder than your competitors to get ahead of them. It takes hard work and a strong will to achieve something in life. Furthermore, he says that chase happiness, and success will chase you.
