Ashish Kapoor is working as an Assistant Sales Manager at HDFC Life Insurance in Jaipur. He also runs an NGO called ‘Neev Education Foundation’ which provides free education to poor children.
Ashish belongs to Kota and is currently living in Jaipur. After his schooling, he enrolled for B.Tech in Jaipur but due to some circumstances, he could not complete it and moved back to Kota. Then he worked as a delivery boy and also did a Polytechnic Diploma from Kota. As soon as he completed his Diploma, he got a job in ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company and did his B.Tech alongside. Later, he moved to Jaipur where he got a job at HDFC Life Insurance.
Recalling his childhood, Ashish says he was a notorious kid but was equally good at studies too. He had a fun-filled childhood. But at the same time, he had an understanding of the tough situation of his family and used to support his parents in all ways possible.
When asked about his role models, Ashish says he considers his mother as his role model for struggling a lot in her life and giving a good upbringing to him.
Describing his struggles, Ashish says that his father is an auto driver, so there were always financial problems in his family. Therefore, he was always under pressure to provide financial support to the family. So managing the job along with his studies was quite challenging for him.
Regarding his achievements, Ashish says that he himself has borne all his expenses in his life and has always tried to lighten the burden of his parents, which he considers his achievement.
Sharing his COVID experience, Ashish says that, during the pandemic, he distributed food packets to the poor through his NGO. He also took the initiative to educate poor children by visiting their homes and providing free stationery to them. Besides, he made the poor sections aware of the disease and distributed sanitary pads for menstrual hygiene for women.
About leadership, Ashish says he considers himself a born leader. He always liked to take the lead in any work and considers himself a good leader intending to make his mark in his work. He also always remains ready to help mankind and serve the poor to make them self-sufficient.
According to Ashish, education serves as the foundation of any career. He believes that if experience goes along with education, it will certainly take you on the path of progress. But without education, the path to success becomes a bit shaky.
If Ashish gets a chance to go back in time through a Time Machine, he would like to go back to his school time and would be more focused on his career and would prepare for government job exams.
In his spare time, Ashish loves to dance, trek, travel, and go to the gym.
Advising the youth, Ashish says that whatever field interests you, give your hundred percent in it and never quit. He adds that the more you work hard, the sooner success will come to you.
Ashish advises people preparing for competitive exams that before preparing for any exam, you should prepare a checklist of your weaknesses because unless you know your shortcomings, you will not be able to improve them. So in order to grow in life, you must first correct your mistakes.
