Ashish Bohra is working as an Assistant Professor at SS College of Engineering, Udaipur.
Born and brought up in Udaipur, Ashish, after completing his technical education in 2011, joined Jyoti Industries Ltd., Gujarat to gain technical knowledge of the field. He worked there for about two years. Then in 2013, he taught at Aravali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur for about a year and learned a lot during that year. Thereafter in 2014, he joined SS College of Engineering, Udaipur, and has been teaching there ever since.
As a kid, he wanted to be an archeologist. He would be enamored by the buildings and places of historical significance in Udaipur and Chittorgarh and he would often visit such places. He also says that nowadays children are more hooked to their gadgets as opposed to his time when he used to play physical games.
He considers the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as his role model and inspiration. He learns from Kalam how to live a simple life and be humble even after achieving so much in life.
Talking about struggles in his life, Ashish says that he was a bright student till 10th std., but when he changed his school after 10th grade he had to face many difficulties. But that time taught him that every tough situation in life can be overcome if you’re determined to face it head-on. He says that whenever there’s a tough time in life we should face it head-on and not lament it.
According to him, whatever one does in life, one should be satisfied with their work. If you’re satisfied with what you do, you will love to do it. Besides, one should be patient in pursuit of their goals and never look back on things to succeed in life.
He says that we should be aggressive about achieving our goals, but not in our personal life. If he could go back in time then he would want to control his aggressive behavior.
Ashish thinks that both education and experience are important but experience matters more as with experience only we gain perfection in a field.
To aspiring teachers, his advice is that they should have good relations with their students so that the students can share their problems with them without any hesitation. Besides, they should make hands-on teaching a part of their pedagogies.
His message to people is to never compare themselves to others. Whatever they are and they are doing, they are doing good. Besides, they should have a positive approach in life.
