Arvind Kumar Azad is a Tabla Player in Pune.
Arvind hails from Bihar and is currently residing in Pune. He spent his childhood days in Jamshedpur. He completed his education at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Society, Jamshedpur.
Talking about his journey, Arvind says that he had been interested in playing the tabla since childhood. He always had a deep connection with music, as he grew up in a musical environment and had a musical family background. His parents gave him the freedom to choose a career according to his liking. He was interested in the music field and decided to make a career in it. He faced many challenges in this field, as it required hard work and dedication to achieve success. He shared the stage with renowned personalities on his journey. He learned a lot from Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra.
Arvind shares that he likes to spend time with his disciple family. He also likes to spend time outdoors and enjoy nature. He loves to eat and cook food, read books, listen to old songs, and travel.
Accepting his mistakes, Arvind says that once he made a mistake on stage while performing with Pt. Birju Maharaj and learned not to repeat it again in life. He learned which things should be kept in mind when accompanying a big artist on stage.
Arvind’s role model is his father, as he learned not to expect anything from anyone from him. He also admires his mother, his guru, Pt. Kishan Maharaj, and Pt. Rajan Mishra, as he learned to be disciplined and follow principles in life from them.
Advising the youth, Arvind says that music makes you a better person. It is important to be hungry for music practice and to connect with your art in order to learn it deeply.
