Founder of a company that helps people and organisations become the best versions of themselves, Archana  is helping individuals as they move through their second acts in life.

Archana Dutta is a Social Entrepreneur, She is the Founder and CEO of SecondAct in Gurugram. She is also a co-founder of a trust called Pedal-On. Besides, she also owns a company called Coffee Beans Retreats.

Archana says she is working to create an impact on those women’s lives, who want to go for a second act in their lives. She has robust experience as a trainer, coach, and loyalty head in the hospitality and aviation industry.

Remembering her childhood, Archana says during her school days like any other teenager, she had personality confusions and was a nervous kid who underestimated herself, valued herself less, and considered herself an average child, without any special talent.

Archana says that the way her life has changed in the last few years is probably due to the fact that she has deployed the aspects of her personality and faced her barriers by being upfront. While working with Lufthansa and Hyatt taking care of their loyalty and training departments as head, she overcame her fears. Her whole experience of twenty years working with people has given her a lot of confidence.

With her company SecondAct, Archana has been working on the development of people who come with an impostor syndrome, feel one less and suffer from low self-esteem. Her company SecondAct is truly following the path as per its name by helping people to discover their true self and with a great intent of transforming the lives of people for the better.

Talking about the journey of starting her entrepreneurship, Archana says that she had a great life in the corporate world, enjoying the facilities and luxuries. However, she says that somewhere in every corporate role; it seems that you get stagnated and are not able to draw growth and development as much as your potential. She always had an aspiration to become a CEO of a company and when the time came, she unfolded her entrepreneurial talent and started three ventures.

When asked about her mistakes, Archana says she has changed her dictionary in the last couple of years and the word mistake is not the word in her dictionary. She says mistakes are the perspective of people. Every step you take makes you a better person in continuation of your journey.

Speaking about her achievements and success thus far, Archana says she doesn’t want to fall into the stereotype definition of success. For her, everything which gives her inner joy, satisfaction and something that defines her and her life is an achievement for her.

Talking about her adrenaline rush, Archana replies that she gets it from her company SecondAct. For her, SecondAct is a fresh perspective which gives her an opportunity to rediscover her role in her fifties.

Archana advises the youth that they should admire their parents’ efforts, as they are the privileged generation. Further, she urges the young generation to not restrict themselves to explore the world of opportunities. She also suggests they should not get into any kind of competition or the rat race, and be courageous enough to take the risks of following their passion.

When asked about her role models, Archana says she looks up to her husband as her role model. She says her husband works on key profiles, and yet he is the most humble person in the company. He also supported her dreams and aspirations and her company’s name - SecondAct was given by him only. She also considers her children as her source of inspiration.

To reduce stress, Archana says she doesn’t need to take special breaks to calm her mind. She simply takes out her time and relaxes herself with little meditation by closing her eyes and sitting for a while.

Archana urges everybody to make their life worth it for themselves. Everyone should live their life for self-contentment, joy and to be remembered by the people as enduring and calm.
