Inspired by her mother, Aratrika stepped into the music industry. She kept learning from feedback and has been in the field for the past 12 years.

Aratrika Bhattacharya is a singer who hails from Kolkata.

Currently,  Aratrika is pursuing a graduation in Fashion Technology from NIFT, Kolkata. Along with that, she is also pursuing music. She has performed on prestigious stages and on reality shows. During this period, she has gained good popularity, and her Facebook page has around 630K followers.

Recalling her childhood, Aratrika says she had a beautiful childhood. She used to be a shy girl. She completed her schooling at St. Joseph's High School. She was good in academics as well as in music and had always gotten support from her teachers. She used to perform on school programs such as Annual Day functions and Independence day celebrations.

Aratrika says her journey in music began when she was only two years old. She was introduced to music by her mother, who is also a singer. She learned to sing from her mother. Later, She joined music class at the age of five. During the pandemic, she kept posting songs on her Facebook page, which helped her gain popularity. Currently, she is learning classical singing from the Lalit Kala Akademi. She is also into performing on stages and working with music composers.

Sharing her achievements, Aratrika says she got the opportunity to perform at reality shows like "Voice India Kids" and "Sa Re Ga Ma Little Champs" in 2016 and 2017, respectively. She has also performed on renowned stages like Snageet Kala Mandir and Bharat Sanskriti Utsav. Furthermore, she says the love she gets for her singing is also an accomplishment. The praise from her teachers and parents keeps her motivated and makes her feel accomplished.

Aratrika says there will always be people who will demotivate you, but the important thing is to groom yourself every day. She gets negative comments on her posts on social media, but there are also people who encourage her and invite her to collaborate.

Talking about mistakes, Aratrika says we are bound to make mistakes, but it is important for us to learn from the mistakes. She believes that mistakes give us an opinion of ourselves. Initially, when she used to perform, her shyness also showed. It created a barrier to communicating with the public. After getting feedback, she learned from her mistake and groomed herself.

When asked about her role models, Aratrika says she considers her mother her role model because she introduced her to music and has always supported her. Her mother also made her learn about opportunities and the types of songs to sing.

When asked about her hobbies, Aratrika believes that we all need time for ourselves. She likes to draw and listen to music. Furthermore, she also spends her free time watching Disney movies, as spending time for herself keeps her mental health in check.

Aratrika’s life mantra is "Practice, Practice, and Practice."
