Recollecting herself after the loss of her father at a very young age, Aprajita entered the field of psychology and mental health. Currently, she is earning a good name for herself in this field and doing great things for the benefit of society.

Aprajita Dixit is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Moolchand Hospital in Delhi. She has been working in the mental health field for the last eight years. She had also been a part of Manodarpan Abhiyan of the HRD Ministry.

Aprajita belongs to Delhi. She did her schooling from Delhi Public School. She did her graduation and post-graduation from Delhi University. Further, she did an advanced diploma in child guidance and counseling from the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development. She did her internship in psychology at Moolchand Hospital in Delhi.

When asked about her role models, Aprajita says she considers her mother as her biggest role model because Aprajita lost her father at the age of ten. After that, her mother supported her emotionally, boosted her morale, and inspired her to become independent. Besides, she considers her mentor Dr. Jitendra Nagpal as her role model for trusting her, believing in her, making everything possible for her, and helping her reach this position today. She also considers all her teachers as her source of inspiration.

Regarding her achievements, Aprajita says that she has authored two books on the Psychosocial Impact of COVID-19 for the National Book Trust of India. She has also written a book for the CBSE Board along with contributing to several initiatives taken by the NCERT. Apart from this, her clients’ satisfaction and happiness is her biggest achievement. In addition, she once got an opportunity to be with the country’s former President in Rashtrapati Bhavan, which was an enjoyable experience and a huge achievement for her.

Apart from work, Aprajita enjoys cooking and gardening in her spare time. She also loves to spend time with her family.

To all psychology students and budding clinicians, Aprajita advises them that in order to sustain themselves in this field, they must keep themselves updated day-by-day with the socio-cultural nuances. She adds that taking practical exposure is as important as taking theoretical knowledge, for which she tells them to pay visits to NGOs and understand the practicality of mental health.
