Aanchal Chandna, a fitness professional and dancer adept in functional fitness training, yoga, contemporary and classical dance, champions the transformative power of movement for physical and mental well-being. Her sister, Antra Chandna, a former corporate professional turned dancer and content creator, shares the same fervor for dance. Together, they embarked on a journey in the dance domain, showcasing their talent and dedication.
Under the banner of 'Twin Me Not,' the duo disseminates dance content to uplift spirits and encourage self-expression. Through workshops and events, they nurture a community of dancers and fitness enthusiasts, fostering mutual support and inspiration.
When asked about their dance and content creation journey, Aanchal attributes their inspiration to unwavering parental support. Antra echoes this sentiment, emphasizing how this backing fueled their shared passion. Bolstered by their parents' belief, they bravely ventured into creating "Twin Me Not," defying conventional careers. In this symphony of encouragement, Aanchal and Antra crafted a creative haven for themselves.
Having honed their performance skills through school plays, talent shows, and dance competitions, Aanchal and Antra's childhood exposure ignited their passion for dance and content creation.
Aanchal and her sister embraced dance from a young age. Aanchal started with Odissi, progressing to Kathak and Latin dances. Antra, inspired by her sister and Bollywood sets, learned through observation.
As far as struggles and challenges are concerned, Antra says that she and her sister are the first members of their family to venture into this field. They had to operate without any family guidance and learn from their own mistakes. Thriving in a competitive world of content creation, they had to keep themselves updated and produce engaging content for their audience.
Speaking about their achievements, Aanchal says that they started doing dance workshops in Bengaluru when it was not even a trend. They took a risk by introducing something new and different to the city, and their hard work paid off as they gained a loyal following from both offline and online mediums. The sister duo plans to expand internationally soon.
For people keen on entering this field, Aanchal advises they consistently invest in their skills, upgrade their knowledge, and be authentic in their form of art. She adds that it is important to keep reinventing and exploring new techniques to stay relevant and innovative in the ever-evolving art industry. On a similar note, Antra suggests setting clear goals and objectives and exploring different opportunities within the art industry.
For young Indians, Antra advocates authenticity in online spaces to connect genuinely with others. Aanchal urges the youth to embrace exploration, learning, and risk-taking in their creative pursuits, emphasizing that success in the creative industry is found by discovering one's unique path.
