Anshuman Dwivedi is working as a Radio Jockey at 92.7 Big FM. He runs a show at Big FM in the morning named Big Chai. He is also an anchor, avid traveler, writer, and musician.
Putting some light on his educational qualifications, Anshuman says that he completed his education in various cities including Sultanpur, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Gorakhpur, and Kanpur.
Reflecting on his childhood, Anshuman says that he was a very naughty kid yet he was very good in his academics. He says that spending his younger days in so many cities made him meet so many new people and he gained several experiences due to that. He misses spending time with his family.
From beginning to date, Anshuman’s journey of being a Radio Jockey has been full of ups and downs. In his younger days, while he was in Gorakhpur, he used to listen to an FM channel 91.9 Radio Mantra which grew his interest in the field. He says that when he came to Ajmer, he got the opportunity to do an internship with Big FM where he learned a lot about Radio and since then there has been no looking back. Thereafter, he worked in Radio Rhythm Australia and then shifted to 92.7 Big FM in Udaipur and has been entertaining the city since then.
Speaking about his struggles, Anshuman says that after completing his studies he wanted to become a Lieutenant but did not get the opportunity to work in the army. While he was trying to come out of his disappointment, he met somebody who made him realize that he is made for working in the voice industry which made him kickstart his career from scratch. He says that those two years of army preparation were very important as they taught him how to work on solutions.
Regarding his mistakes, Anshuman says that since he was a bright student, he became overconfident and neglected his studies, and focused more on playing. Although he passed his twelfth standard with first division, he would like to study more and get better grades if he gets the opportunity to go back in time using a time machine.
When it comes to his achievements, Anshuman says that getting recognition and fans on digital media is an achievement for him. The biggest achievement for him is that he once unknowingly saved the life of his fan from Nepal through his show which gave him great happiness. Putting a great impact on people’s lives is the biggest happiness that he gets from his job.
Anshuman believes that there is always a purpose for you being in a particular situation or doing a particular thing. He says so because he once did a job in a garage when he shifted to Ajmer, although he did his garage job with dedication, he never let himself forget the real purpose and the end goal of his life. There will be times when you will have to face struggles and do jobs that are not meant for you, but you will always gain new experiences that will lead you to a successful journey.
In his leisure time, Anshuman loves interacting with people, writing, cycling, biking, traveling, playing the guitar and piano, and reading autobiographies of people.
The line that motivates him is a quote from the movie ‘Rock On’ i.e., “The only thing that can stop you from fulfilling your dream is YOU.”
Talking about his role models, Anshuman says that a former cricketer and current commentator, Ravi Shastri is his role model. The voice quality and presentation of Ravi Shastri inspires Anshuman a lot.
To the aspiring Radio Jockeys, Anshuman says that to become an RJ, one needs to have a command over the words they speak. Further, the voice quality and the content matter a lot. The content you speak should connect with your audience, says Anshuman.
Advising youngsters, Anshuman says that when you study, your complete focus should be on studies irrespective of what is happening around you. Also, he asks the youngsters to avoid procrastinating things even if they are studying or they are doing any other thing.
