Anshul Agrawal is a CA and CS by educational qualification and a teacher by passion. He is the director of the Unacademy CA course. Besides, he is also a content creator on YouTube.
Anshul was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He studied till seventh grade at VV John Memorial School in Jodhpur. Then his family moved to Amravati, Maharashtra and he completed the remainder of his schooling from there.
Talking about his childhood, Anshul says that growing up, he was an average student academically. He always feared Mathematics and it was the reason he chose to study in the Commerce stream in high school. He says he liked studying Commerce subjects so much that he became the topper of his class and was also a merit holder in Maharashtra's twelfth board examinations in his time.
After completing high school, Anshul chose to pursue the CA course. He did his articleship from Pune. He became a CA on his first attempt itself by passing all his exams without any repetitions.
Talking about his career progression, Anshul says that after becoming a CA, he started his first job with Deloitte in Pune. Thereafter, he worked in Nigeria, London, and Dubai. And then, he moved back to India and started working in Bangalore as the director of the CA course at Unacademy.
When asked about his role models, Anshul says that he considers Dr. CA Shivazi Zaware as his role model and inspiration behind becoming a CA.
Anshul thinks that winners always look for opportunities and never complain about their circumstances. He advises people to explore and find out what they are good at and then pursue it dedicatedly. Besides, he advises them never to fear committing mistakes and doing something new as mistakes are bound to happen when you do something different.
Anshul is of the opinion that online education is the future and technology will play a crucial role in making that happen. He advises people to incorporate technology in whatever they do to become more efficient and productive.
Anshul opines that it’s paramount to plan your time well to be able to live a balanced life. He says everyone has twenty-four hours in a day and it depends on an individual how they utilize those twenty-four hours to fulfill all their roles.
