Anshu Harsh is a writer, editor, and poet. She also runs a publishing house called "Simply Jaipur’.
Hailing from Merta City, Anshu feels good that she belongs to the city of Meera Bai and is a devotee of hers by nature.
Recalling her childhood, Anshu says it was the most beautiful phase of her life. Her father was in the police, so they used to get transferred to different places in Rajasthan frequently. Changes in school, friends, the environment, and neighbors made her have a new start every two years. It played a major role in her writing as she got to know people from different corners of Rajasthan. In her childhood, she used to read books and learn music.
Sharing about her journey, Anshu says she had always been an active participant in cultural activities, including writing and reading. She was not so serious about education. She completed her graduation after her marriage. She lived like a homemaker for ten years. However, she kept her reading habit alive.
After a while, she started posting her writing on social media platforms. She also won a writing contest by Dainik Bhaskar. It further motivated her, and she continued to write articles for magazines and newspapers. She also launched her own publishing house "Simply Jaipur ''.
Talking about her mistakes, Anshu says she believes that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow. They have taught her valuable lessons and helped her become a better person.
When asked about her role models, Anshu says her grandmother has been her role model, as she takes inspiration from her positive attitude and how she balances between family and her interests. She strongly believes in her father, and is motivated to provide service to society because of him. She learned to write from her elder brother. Furthermore, she says that every person whom she interviewed taught her something, and she considers them her role models.
Anshu’s life mantra is "Take it slow like a tortoise, find a place to hide when things get tough, and keep going with even more energy."
Sharing her achievements, Anshu says that after starting her publishing house, she published two books with Vijayshankar Mehta, which is a huge achievement for her. Her achievements also include writing a Hindi version of Ivan Misner’s blogs. She has also been invited to speak at the Jaipur Literature Festival four times.
Advising young writers, Anshu says everyone has a story, but only some of them end up on paper. She advises everyone to constantly work on yourself and achieve success step by step.
