Anshdeep Singh is an Indian Classical Musician and a Classical Gurbani Vocalist. He also plays Tar Shehnai. He claims that he creates his own compositions by mixing Indian musical ragas with the songs and music composed by Sikh gurus.
Anshdeep belongs to Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. After completing his schooling in Haryana, he went to Delhi to pursue a career in the aviation industry. Then he did a one-year course at Frankfinn Institute and joined Air India in 2007. Later, he also worked at Kingfisher Airlines and Indigo Airlines. However, he always wanted to make his career in the field of music.
Therefore, in 2009, Anshdeep started taking formal music training under his Guru, Ustad Baljit Singh Namdhari in Delhi. Soon, he got an opportunity to work for big production houses, movies, and BBC projects. Currently, he is working on a project for SonyLIV as an Esraj player. In no time, his career began to go uphill as he started doing concerts and live shows with bigwigs and great legends of the Indian classical music industry.
Recalling his childhood, Anshdeep says that he aspired to become a musician since his childhood. He says that he got a little classical music training from his home as his uncle used to play tabla in the Gurudwara and his interest grew as he learned to play the tabla and the harmonium. He also started listening to Ustad Baljit Singh and Gurmeet Singh, which instilled music in his heart.
Anshdeep loves to practice music and musical instruments in his spare time.
Advising all the musicians, Anshdeep says that you should not stop persevering even if you achieve your goals because the music industry has a lot to offer to you and from a learning perspective, you still have a long way to go. He advises them to focus on their weak areas and actively endeavor to develop their music art in order to become natural artists and win over their audience.
