Reminiscing about his childhood, Ansh shares that initial years of his childhood were spent in Mandsaur only. He was educated at a boarding school in Indore. He would get time to be with his family only during his summer breaks. Ansh says that, as a kid, he was more interested in sports than academics. He played table tennis at the state level. He also played for his school cricket team. Furthermore, he says that staying away from his town and studying at a boarding school required him to be all by himself and it taught him things that he would not have learnt otherwise at a day boarding school.
Ansh’s father wanted him to study hard and appear in competitive exams. But, his father passed away when Ansh was just a fourteen-year-old boy and he had to start looking after his father’s business. At the age of sixteen, he started shouldering the responsibilities of his father’s liquor business along with his studies.
It was not an easy task for Ansh to take over his father’s business. He was young and had little understanding of the business. He had to face many ebbs and flows. He was a neophyte and often would be in a dilemma with regard to making decisions. But with time, he kept learning the nuances of the business, and today it’s been nine years since he started.
Ansh says that during Covid all the shops were ordered shut and owing to that he had to face some losses on the financial front. He also says that after the lockdown, when liquor shops were finally allowed to open, for the first day it was an unprecedented scenario for him. He had to deal with a long queue of people keeping in consideration the Covid protocols and it was challenging for him. Besides, he says that the liquor industry is also hit by the pandemic and it’s running at marginal profits.
Talking about his achievements, Ansh says that he is young and has to achieve a lot in life. He is just trying his best to scale up his business further.
Ansh’s piece of advice is that people should mull over thoroughly before making decisions. He says that he too made some wrong decisions at an early age and had to face repercussions of them later. But he says that learning from those mistakes, today enables him to decide who to trust and who not to, and make decisions accordingly.
Ansh considers his father as his role model. He would always learn from his father, the way he would deal with people. He says that the things that his father taught him will always be with him. Besides, he also acknowledges the moral support that he receives from his mother and wife.
If Ansh could go back in time, he would want to go back to his childhood and relive it. He says that it was a carefree period of his life and he enjoyed it. Besides, he would also want to mend the mistakes that he made in his business so as to be in a better position today.
To unwind, Ansh likes to go on solo short drives. He thinks that going on solo drives and spending his solitary time helps him make better decisions.
