Ansh Kumar, a talented mural and sketch artist from Agra, has been passionately creating art for the past four years in sketching and two years in murals. Entirely self-taught, Ansh has refined his skills through hands-on experience and personal exploration.
Though originally a science student with a diploma and a B.Sc., Ansh Kumar often considers pursuing formal education in art, believing that a degree can unlock greater opportunities. He finds the art world to be a unique and dynamic field, one that fascinates him deeply.
Kumar’s artistic journey began unexpectedly during the lockdown. A viral social media trend pulled him into the spotlight, with his images becoming the subject of memes and online trolling. Seeking solace from the negativity, he turned to art, drawing inspiration from his brother, Harish Singh, who is both an advocate and an artist.
Reflecting on his growth, Ansh Kumar admits that mistakes are part of his daily process, seeing them as essential stepping stones in the creative journey. He also stresses that great art doesn’t come from expensive materials but from passion and skill.
Ansh's role models include Bhuvan Bam, who inspires him with his ability to bring joy to others despite personal struggles. His parents and brother are also guiding forces in his life, motivating him to pursue his passion for art.
To aspiring artists, Ansh Kumar offers practical advice: consider financial stability before embarking on a career in art, as success in this field is uncertain. He also encourages working with other artists to gain valuable experience and insights into the industry.
For Ansh, art is more than a career—it's his refuge. Whenever he feels down, he picks up his sketchbook and starts drawing, finding comfort in creativity. To him, the world is always beautiful, and he believes this is the gift of an artist's perspective.
