Ankush Sharma is a State Secretary at the Youth Brahman Samaj, Jaipur. He was born and brought up in Jaipur itself. He has completed his B.Com from Jaipur National University.
Ankush describes his challenges in life, saying that when his grandfather passed away while he was just a twelfth student, it came as a shock to him. However, after he had gathered himself, he began to relive his life with a lot of zeal in accordance with his grandfather’s wishes. He began working at a very young age and used to receive a salary of just 6,000 rupees. He says that despite the ups and downs he had in his early years of employment, he views them as learning opportunities.
Ankush mentions his participation in athletics and the numerous awards he won from his high school and college years when talking about his accomplishments. He says he competed in javelin throw competitions and was a national-level Kabbadi player.
When asked who his role models are, Ankush replies that his grandfather, Ghaasi Lal Sharma is his role model. He says his grandfather was a freedom fighter, and his valiant deeds during the partition of India inspired him a lot. His grandfather's bravery and patriotism give him constant inspiration to volunteer his services for the betterment of his nation and society. He is also inspired by former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje.
When asked if he is a born leader or leader by experience, Ankush replies that he is a leader who learned and developed leadership skills over time. He says he is proud of being the youngest youth secretary of his Brahman Samaj.
Speaking about his experience during COVID, Ankush says he and the fellow members of his community helped many people by providing them food, medicine, and medical amenities during the pandemic.
In his spare time, Ankush likes to write shayaris whenever he gets free time.
Ankush suggests that the youth must devote themselves to the welfare of society, the community, and especially the country. He believes that the youth must realize their responsibilities towards their country, and wherever we go in our lives, whatever we are doing, we should stay connected to our roots.
