Ankit Chaplot is an Udaipurite who owns a cafe here by the name of Foogle Cafe. He likes to innovate and experiment with the delicacies served at his cafe.

Ankit Chaplot was born and raised in Udaipur. He is the owner of Foogle cafe, Udaipur. He is a techie turned cafepreneur. He completed his engineering in electrical engineering in the year 2009. After completion of engineering he did a job at a company based in Udaipur. After 8 months of working with the company he quit. And then he did his M.Tech. to further his knowledge in engineering discipline. After M.Tech. he taught at various universities and rose to the position of Head of the Department. But he realized it wasn’t what he was looking for and quit from there and went to Goa. In Goa he started a business of Modular Kitchen and furnishing and did quite well in it. He served various big-wigs from politicians to bollywood celebrities. But owing to some personal reasons he had to quit and head back to his hometown, Udaipur.

After coming back to Udaipur, he and his wife decided to venture into something of their own and did the market research. They realized that a food business can be a good business here in Udaipur. And thus they started. For the initial six months they learnt as much as they could and this period was all about trials and tribulations. And after six months they opened up a cafe shop in Udaipur and garnered a good response from the people. Later they opened up another cafe shop and it was also a success. After a couple of years he decided to club both the cafe shops and opened up a new bigger shop and since then the journey has continued.

Talking about the testing times in his life Ankit says that struggles are a part of our lives. Struggles in life refine and not define you.

If he could go back in time and undo something Ankit would want to be a chef.

Ankit stresses that education is really important and it helps one broaden one’s horizon. But experiences make you a better person.
